In rememberance of my sweet baby boy

Today 2 years ago, my sweet baby Christopher Logan Schrupp died. Today we visited his grave and had a special family service.
I miss my sweet baby so much... every second of everyday I think of him. I wish we were planning a party instead of a visit to his grave. What a perfect face and a precious baby that I never had the chance to raise. My arms still ache for him as a piece of me is missing.

My continuing health and vibrance

So I found that my weakness is PIZZA! I can say no to everything else, but pizza....I went in for a check-up and my super handsome naturapath was finding a few issues and finally asked me "ok, are you taking something I dont know about? Or eating something you may be reacting to?" Then I had to confess...PIZZA it was the scrumptious, gooey, hot, pizza. I cannot resist a piece when my family orders it.
So lecture aside, I am still doing great, but I must resist my weakness better in the future.
My thyroid is still testing strong and I have 3 more months before Jon makes me re-take the medical tests to re-check my thyroid levels. I have no doubt I will pass with flying colors!
I have lost a total of 24 lbs. GO ME! Im sure if I exercised Id lose more ;)

And I cannot forget my super chubby little monkey, 9 months old:
He is crawling EVERYWHERE! And pulling up!

Getting Healthy

So about 6 weeks ago my doctor checked out a lump on my neck. It has not been biopsied, but is a tumor (probably a fatty tumor) growing on my thyroid. They ran tests on my thyroid and my Hishimotos Thyroiditis is severe and my thyroid levels are so high I am at high risk for dangerous health conditions. My immune system is attacking my thyroid as if it were a foreign object thus my thyroid is working like a Over-active thyroid but only pulling off the job of a hypo-thyroid... So there is no medication I can take because the thyroid is over working, it could cause a heart attack. Here's the thing, I have been perpetually tired, weak, scatterbrained, and with a low-immune system. I can hardly carry on a conversation without losing my thought process (not the normal mommy brain)... SO the doctor wants to do iodine radiation on my thyroid, burning it out and then re-building it back up with medication. This would put me in isolation for 2 weeks and for a month after I cannot come within 2 feet of my loved ones for more than 1 hour a day, my dishes and laundry must be washed separately and paper plates would have to be thrown away 50 feet from any residence! This is NUTS! My family would be exposed to dangerous levels of radiation just by living in the same house for a month after the treatment!
So for all of you who know me, you know I would declined treatment and go NATURAL! I have an amazing naturapath/chiropractor, who practices muscle response testing to pin point the cause and then treat the cause with whole food supplements / herbs. SO I have been using the treatment for 5 weeks now and practicing a Vegan diet, plant based, whole foods, live ensigns... Its simple! Takes discipline, but totally worth it! I dont eat wheat, breads, anything with sugar in the ingredients, any meat, dairy products (anything with a face), or processed foods. Mainly rice, fruits, veggies, and nuts (not peanuts). And I eat lots! But I have lost 18 lbs so far!!!
I feel amazing! The tumor is 1/3 the size, I have energy, I feel good, my mind is sharper... I will get my blood work re-done in a few months to prove my thyroid is better... For the sceptics, like my husband.
I think Im gonna make this a way of life! I have no reason to go back to my old life style (eating habits) What we eat is the fuel and we can either put the power of health in our hands or continuously expect dr's to fix us!!!! I will hold my own future, thank you very much!

My diaper stash

I am very proud of my recent obsession... My cloth diaper stash! This is my 5 month old posing in the cute diapers. Heres my changing setup...

The diapers on the left are daycare kids disposables, the wipes on the shelf are daycare kids... My stash is on the Right, my inserts are on top of the cubbie, my cloth wipes are in the foreground, wet bag on the door knob, and hangers on the curtain rod for damp diapers needing to air dry

Somehow in a small bathroom, I make it work!

My wipes, feminine pads by Fuzzibunz, and my diva cup

Heres my stash favorites:
This is a tailfeathers fitted under a wool/jersey cover bought off Etsy by "Gently Made"... Its so trim fitting and soft

This is a Kissaluv wool cover- great coverage and soft

Rumparooz OS pocket diaper - robots and firetrucks (interior extra gussett makes diarrhea or breastmilk poop stay in the diaper)

Tailfeathers Fitted Diaper One Size (Totally organic Bamboo Velour)

Weehuggers Cover Soooo cute with double leg gussets

This is an Osocozy All In One One

This is a Happy Heiny Pocket diaper - Stay dry to the bottom with snaps OOga Booga print

This ia Happy Heiny Velcro Puppy print

GorVia With my Hemp inserts for more absorbency and trimness

Coolababy AIO OS (great for shorter periods of time)

These are the most georgeous diaper I have seen or felt.. Its a pocket OS Blueberry Minky diaper, only flaw is the bulk

Here's my two cents on all the types I have tried:
Love the Bum Genius Diaper Sprayer! No leaks!
Love the feminine pads and Diva cup... Can't imagine ever using the disposable ones again
Love all of the diapers in pictures above and my BG elemental (forgot to take a picture)
Love my Wet/Dry bag by weehuggers (used as my diaper bag) and the wet/dry Planet Wise bag for my Bathroom diapes
I love to have options, my mood changes daily...

Cloth Diaper's Delight

OKay so Im fanatic about cloth diapering and this video says it all! PLus the weehuggers bag is my favorite and the diaper is easy/cute!

Cloth diapers

SO I posted that I was going to use cloth diapers and now I have been using them for 4 months and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Cloth!!!! I am beoming obsessed with the amazing new designs, they are so easy to wash, care for and they fit so nicely... Here's my most recent favorites, they are Blueberry Minky Pocket Diapers

Isn't that super cute?! AND they are MINK so the inside and outside are super soft, it's a shame Alex has to wear clothes over top of these diapers!

I also have a love with a few other brands, but Im trying out the rumparoos and the BumGenius Elemental

This rumparooz decomposes in 4 years, I love that! we're even getting picky with out cloth! Hahaha

So far I like the look of the BG elemental, but I dont like that the cloth feels wet against his skin... All the pockets have the stay dry. But thats because it is made for those with an ittitation to fleece.

Another one I am using is a chinese brand all in one / one size, it is my easiest diaper by far! Problem is, I have no idea what it is! The brand is written in chinese (i think)

I still have my fuzzibunz and my GroVia, I am just becoming obsessed with all the cool new diapers available out there!
