End of Presc

Rachel was so excited to go to school each day to see her teachers and friends, but also excited to come home and learn what she shared! When the school year ended, we were able to celebrate with graduation at Kangaroo Zoo, which is a bounce house playground.

Even Alexa was able to keep up with the big kids at Kangaroo Zoo! We are looking forward to another year of preschool coming up soon!

Hogle Zoo

Pa came to spend the day with us when he came for business in Salt Lake. We don't typically tell the girls what we are doing until we are in the car due to the fact they get so excited they have a hard time getting ready. They had been asking for a while where we were going, but once we were in the car, they were so excited to find out we were going to the zoo!

We were given a map when we entered the zoo and it became a permanent fixture in Rachel's hands!

I, of course, felt the need to show them how to "properly" use a map!

Rachel took Pa to get sprayed by one of the dinosaurs that were on display this spring.

Alexa's favorite animal has been a rhino for a very long time. She was over the moon excited to see it come right over to the window in front of our faces!

The other thing Alexa loves is pirates! She could not be stopped when we came around a corner to see a park area with a pirate ship!

While Rachel studied her map,

Alexa enjoyed putting her head in for pictures.

They loved the tiger statues...

...and their first time on a carousel!

Riding the carousel was a fun way to finish out the day!

Payson Temple Open House

One of the things we have truly grown to love about living in Utah is having the temple so close. In May, the Payson temple was completed and we were able to take the girls! We are able to teach our girls about the importance of the temple and what happens there each time we see one or are able to attend an open house. They have such a love for the temple already!

Baby cow vs. Calf

Rachel told Cece that she got to feed a baby cow. Cece told her it's called a calf. Unfortunately for Cece, my friend Diana had told Rachel she could come feed the baby cow, so that is what is was this time...not a calf.

Final field trip

The last field trip of the year was to a local nursery. Rachel was so excited because they had been talking about it at school and she was going to get to plant a flower! There wasn't quite enough room for everyone around the planting station, so just a few kids got to plant their flowers at once, leaving parents visiting off to the side...no picture of that one. She did get to go walk around the nursery and learn about different flowers with her class though.

As always, everywhere Rachel goes, she is sure to make a new friend. Can't wait for the next school year to start and see what new friends will be in her class!

Alexa time

Alexa and I were able to enjoy lots of time together while Rachel was at presc. One thing she came to love doing was going to the library. They have a Lego table and lots of different learning activities for small children.

She loves to do the different magnet games just as much as play with Legos!

Young Woman Recognition

After several months of work, I was able to earn my second Young Woman medallion in May!

Feeding the ducks

One of our favorite things to do is feed the ducks! This past spring, Austin was able to join us one day. While the kids were enjoying the baby ducks, the seagulls were enjoying the bread we brought for the ducks! Alexa made sure to tell them what she thought of that!

The baby ducks were a surprise that day for us and we made sure to get a picture because they were so cute!
