Quick Vale Trip

We decided last minute to go to Vale over Memorial Day weekend. It was fun getting to do things we sometimes don't get to do when there are so many of us there. It's a little easier to round up 6 guns instead of 26 or 3 horses instead of 13......! We left after Scott got off work Friday night and came home Monday afternoon. It was nice having Monday off so we could stay for all of church and hang out for a nice Sunday afternoon. Saturday we went out shooting prairie dogs then road horses that evening. We had lots of fun and the kids, of course, did too. They got to ride the little kid quad, horses and even learn to shoot guns!

Cal and Foster.....they are 9 months apart (Fos is older) but Cal is his size. But that's not hard to do since Fos is still pretty little!

Nate just wanted down.......did not matter if he was sitting in dirt. He was happy as can be!

Little cowboy Fos

Sister, Rachel, showing us how it was done!

Molly and Bella would ride around laughing so hard. It was pretty stinkin' cute!

Scott was sharp shooter of the day. I think he was 10 for 10. He was sitting ready when someone else would shoot and miss, he would nail the prairie dog. They didn't have a chance with a gun in his hands!!!

Fos learning how it's done

Bella has it down......scope and all!

Kids on a fence.....priceless picture!

These girls make it a point to match clothes. Thank goodness it's cute at this age!

The next rodeo princesses.

Foster and Emmy

As you can see.......real cowgirls wear flip flops!

Nate loved riding the horses.

Elvis, the horse, was so kid friendly. Some how he knew when an adult was on him. Scott tried to lead him out to the road, but Elvis would get out of the barn and turn right back around. I was laughing pretty hard. It's true horses can sense their riders feelings!!!

Twins again!

Captain America jumping in to save the day!!!!

Dallie was sweet enough to let Molly and Bella do her hair and makeup too! They are getting better for sure!!!!

Foster's Preschool Graduation

Still catching up.........
Foster graduated from Preschool last month. He had a great teacher and he was always excited for Tuesday and Thursday to come around! He learned so much and we are glad Miss Lesli will be taking him back next year as we are not ready to send him to Kindergarten!

I had the close up lens on and didn't have time to change it before all the kids left their position. That is why some kids are cut out of the photo......oops!

Foster and Miss Lesli

There was a fun pond and park the kids ran down to after the graduation.

Puerto Penasco

A friend of Scott's asked us to go to Mexico with them a few other families. Not sure if he realized we would actually say yes. Scott and I talked about it and how we want to take the kids to a warm Mexican beach and how this would be a great opportunity so we agreed to go. It was spring break for Molly so a perfect to go. We loaded then van and drove to St. George and stayed with my brother and his family for a couple of days then to Phoenix Sunday to stay with Scott's brother then on into Mexico on Monday. It was a great way to break up the 16 hr drive. The kids did great too!

All loaded up!

We stopped at Hoover Dam on our way to Phoenix. Pretty amazing!

We'd get up, I'd go for a run on the beach, I'd get back, Scott would take the kids to the beach while I showered and let Nate take his first nap. The kids loved wherever they were. They didn't want to leave the beach to go to the pool and if they were at the pool they didn't want to leave that to go down to the beach.

It was a great beach. Sandy, not rocky, with lots of shells and soft sand.

The view looking at our condo

The kids jumping the huge waves!

Nate loved the water. In fact, he didn't want Scott or I to hold him. He's a very independent child, but realized we NEEDED to hold him in the water!

He loved the sand and seaweed!!!

View from our condo. Our friends had a ground level just down in the left hand of the building across from us. We ditched the me waiting in the condo while Nate slept and put him down for a nap in their condo after the first couple of days. It was a perfect set-up.

Two of the guys we went with. They like to fish!

My cute boys!

We went in to the local markets to buy groceries for the week. This was our choice of meat! Not your regular Smith's!!!!

One of my favorite pictures!

Down on the "rocky point"

We love trying the authentic restaurants. This one was really good and recommended by Mike. Scott's brother lives in Phoenix and came down for 2 days.

Yummy Mexican food!

Fos on the mechanical bull

Jumping the ledge to the beach

Muscles!!!!!

The locals were selling these chili powdered mangoes on the beach. Super yummy!!!

The kids got cool kites for Easter and it was a great place to fly them!

Up by the pool

We had to get some pictures with a cactus
