39 weeks

Today I am 39 weeks along and  I'm so ready to have this little one out of me. This pregnancy has been easiest and hardest for me. I was less sick in the 1st trimester and for not as long as usual, and able to work out during the whole pregnancy (minus the last two weeks). But my energy has been nowhere in sight this time, probably because I've wasted it all chasing after two kids!  Tomorrow's the big day, wish me luck!

3rd Surgery

Cole's tubes were falling out and so he had to get new ones put in, and get his adnoids taken out. It was a longer surgery than his pollypocket shoe up the nose incident (remember it here) or his first time surgery of just tubes (click to view).  Well, this morning we were all up at 6am to be there by 7. Cole was happy and unusually hyper  and making all sorts of silly faces for me.  Notice how his demeanor changes AFTER surgery...

When we got him it was 45 minutes later than they said it would be, so we were a little anxious to get back to his recovery room.  He was crying and completely confused on what was going on.  The nurses told us they had to hold him down to put on the gas mask and he was resisiting pretty hard, so that's what he remembered when he woke up.  He head bunted the nurse when he woke up because he was still mad.... that little fighter!

We couldn't leave until he drank something, and he refused apple juice for 10 minutes, so the nurse brought in a popsicle which worked. He had to have an IV so that's why his arm is wrapped up, and he DID NOT like that thing on at all.  I'd say in a day or two he'll be his usual self again. Poor guy.

Apple Works

We've been wanting to hit a couple pumpkin patches since it's our last Autumn season here in Indy.  We loved it there.  The kids got to ride ponies and we all took the hay ride to the pumpkin patch.  Wish we had more time there! Who knows, we may visit again this year.

{Halloween 2011}

This year Cole is going to be a ninja and Ella a witch.  They got to wear their costumes at a birthday party a couple weekends ago, they had a blast.

Our 4th year dental group of friends got together to do this murder mystery halloween party (circus theme) this past weekend, SO MUCH FUN!  I was the clown, who ended up being the murderer, and didn't find out until we got there. Nobody suspected me, it was great.  Scott was the snake charmer, loved his costume.

As you can see why I picked this costume so my entire self could actually FIT into a costume.  Here's me at 37.5 weeks along!

Kelsay Farms

This past weekend we took our kids to Kelsay Farms since it was a beautiful 80 degree autumn day.  Last time we went here, Cole was only 2 weeks old, click here and see!  It hadn't changed much, and the kids still had fun.  We took a hayride around the farm, took the milking tour for the dairy farm, played in the haystacks, and got to pick out some pumpkins at the end of our trip.

They played in the dried corn pit, went down the slides a bunch of times, and saw the newborn baby calves only 15 days old.

We met up with our awesome friends the Gunnells and Fortners. So much fun to have all our kids play together.

They rode the Moo-Choo Train

Scott took Cole pumpkin bowling, since it's favorite thing and he got a strike! Thanks so much Jenna and Jenalee for coming with us, we had a great time at the farm and going out to eat afterwards.

King Salmon Fishing in Michigan

Scott went fishing with a bunch of his buddies up in Michigan.
  Check out the YouTube video of all the action:

To say he was excited and having a blast every second of the time would be a major understatement.  He said it was better than fishing in Alaska for salmon.  He caught 7 of the fish below all between 15-25 lbs!

I can't say I was THAT excited to let him leave me; a 35 week pregnant wife, for 3 days to go fishing, but figured it'd be the last opportunity he'd have for a while...
Glad you had the time of your life honey! And glad to say our freezer is now stocked with salmon!

{Baby Celebration}

My friend Lacey planned a semi--surprise baby shower. She planned it all, invited all the guests and crocheted me an amazing blanket with bears.  It was at Brittany Goff's house who made amazing treats, Heather planned some fun games, and I was spoiled with gifts. And it was such a fun night to get together with some of my best gal friends in my ward. I surely felt loved and special. Thank you ladies!!

{Cole's 3rd Birthday!}

Cole was so excited for his birthday and to turn 3 this year. But sometimes he says Ella is 3 and he is 5, so that he can go to school too!  He picked out his football (cupcake) cake, go figure. We had a nice family party the night of his actual birthday with pizza, cake and ice cream!

He was sure excited for the chocolate cake!

Bouncer Town: Kid Party
For Cole we did a low-key party with his friends, and invited all the boys from his nursery class. It's a place the kids always point out when we're driving past it since they love it so much.  I thought it'd be easy for me, being 35 weeks preggo.

Thanks for all the boys who came! Cole had so much fun!
Happy Birthday CoCo's, we love you.
