Decorating Christmas cookies has been a tradition in our family since I was little. How precious it is to see this tradition continue. Meg & Jim always look forward to spending time with Grandmama…but getting to decorate and eat cookies plus learn a few life lessons while doing so is a bonus treat for all~!
Merry Christmas everyone~!
~All I Really Need To Know In Life I Learned From Decorating Cookies~
Share with others…there is always more than enough frosting and sprinkles to go around
Put things back where you find them…no one likes searching for the red hots.
Be patient…the yellow sprinkles will be available soon.
Good Hygiene…do NOT lick the knife and then start frosting another cookie.
Cookies ARE good for you…frosting is even better.
Clean up your own mess…half the fun is eating the leftover frosting.
Be colorful...cookies can have ANY color of frosting or sprinkles, tho red angels are highly frowned upon.
Be creative…deciding what shape cookie to frost and what sprinkles to use is half the fun.
Don’t take things that aren’t yours…especially that last cookie.
There are no mistakes…who says there can’t be blue Christmas trees.
Be cooperative…working together is fun.
Nobody’s perfect….a broken cookie tastes the same as a whole one
Faith, hope and love can work together to create an amazing masterpiece…even if it is only a cookie
Be fair…don’t hog the green frosting.
Anyone can do it…there is no age limit.
Have fun…how often do you get to make something that EVERYONE wants a piece of.
Life’s basic lessons are baked with tradition, frosted with fun and sprinkled with love.
