Art Wall

All of you with kids know how many papers, projects, paintings and pages come home from school everyday!  This year I decided to take a small wall in our hallway and just cover it with their creations.  I love it!  When they bring something home that is special we find a place on the wall or take down an old piece and replace it with the new one.  This hallway is in the center of our home so we are always walking by - their work brightens my day!

A Fun Day!

Yesterday, Caroline went on her first field trip in Kindergarten!  I was able to go along and it was so fun!  We went to a pumpkin patch and apple orchard.  We tasted cider and learned how it is made, went on a couple hayrides, ate a picnic lunch, went to a petting zoo, played on a really fun playground and all the kids got to pick a pumpkin.

Feeding the goats - there were a couple baby goats that were adorable!

It was so fun to have the day with just Caroline!  She is my sweet little muffin and I do not get time alone with her often enough.

Lost Tooth

Madelyn finally lost a tooth!  She is 7 and all of her friends have already lost teeth.  Her permanent tooth was growing behind her baby tooth.  The tooth was not getting very loose so today we went to the dentist and they pulled it.  She was really scared at first, but then they pulled out the happy gas and she was fine.  The used numbing gel, gave her novocaine and then pulled it.  She didn't feel a thing.
After it was gone, I told her she had lost her first tooth.  She said, "really???"  She is so excited!  My mom made her an adorable tooth pillow (pictures to come) and I think the tooth fairy will be making her first appearance tonight!  The dentist said her tongue would push her permanent tooth forward so not to worry about it being set back right now.  She can't wait to show off her new smile to her friends at school!
