We are proud of Madelyn! She entered our state Reflections contest at her school back in the fall. She wrote a piano song and recorded it. She won her school, the county and received a merit award at the state competition! We went to an award ceremony and reception for her on Saturday. She was nervous walking down to get her medal and certificate but did great. Go Madelyn!
This year we joined a CSA! (Community Supported Agriculture). A local farm invites you to join and then once a week a basket of fresh, mostly organic veggies are delivered to you. Last Thursday was our first pick up day. We have had SO much rain that they are delayed in planting, but we still got some great things. The strawberries were AMAZING! We got spinach that we used in several recipes this week, green garlic, oregano, thyme and radishes. Oh and some very yummy asparagus which the kids gobbled up. Can't wait to see what we get today!
The kids are into performing "plays" for us. It is basically chaos, but they have fun. In this one, poor Silas was the princess. He has on Caroline's Easter dress from a couple years ago - lol!
My sweet cellist! Caroline is really enjoying cello and is making very nice progress. She has her first recital in a couple weeks and is going to play Twinkle.
Beautiful hand position!
