Father's Day

Here is the Father with all his kids on Father's Day. Seth is a great dad and the kids love to spoil him with candy and presents on Father's Day. They usually make him a little breakfast in bed, but we have early church this year, so there wasn't much time.

That is quite a crowd of kids for such a young guy! Seth constantly gets the "you have how many kids?" from people at work. It must be nice to be lookn' so young and handsome that people think you are ten years younger than you really are! We love to "shock" people when we are out alone and people will ask if we are just married and then we tell them we have 5 kids and they have no idea how to respond. Or when we are alone at the grocery store buying 7 gallons of milk and 6 loaves of bread and the cashier asks who we are buying all this food for. I love it! We are so blessed to have all our little ducklings!!

Thanks Seth for being a great Dad! He is the one they turn to when they want to have fun or when they want a treat or when they want to learn something important. He's patient with them when he's working out in the garage and teaches them how to build little wooden things! They love you!

White Sands!!

Over the Fourth of July Weekend, we packed up and headed to Las Cruces New Mexico. My Grandmother and Aunt/Uncle live there out on a pecan farm outside of town. This was nostalgic for me because this is what we used to do almost every fourth of July when I was a kid. In New Mexico you can light fireworks in your own backyard, and in Arizona you can't, so this became quite the tradition. And to add to the nostalgia, by parents and sister w/family came as well.

So, being in Las Cruces, you have to visit White Sands!! White Sands is 287 square miles of pure white sand dunes in the desert of New Mexico and it's about 45 minutes outside of Las Cruces. It's a fun place to slide down the dunes and bury each other!!

We also had my cousin's wife Cassandra and her kids meet us out there. It was fun to see her and the kids, I am good friends with her sister Vanessa who lives in Crystal Lake, IL. Kind of a small world.

We played at White Sands for a few hours until it got TOO HOT! The air temperature wasn't bad, it was that reflection off the sand. We all got a little bit sunburned!
