St George

One of the perks of moving back to UT is being closer to family! At the beginning of May, we took a quick weekend trip down to St. George to visit Adam, Jamie, and Millie! We had a great time playing at the splash pad, having a water balloon fight, enjoying the gorgeous St George weather and some good family time!

We moved!

So many big changes occurred for our family in the Spring of 2012. Unexpectedly, Seth was offered a position as a healthcare recruiter for a company in Provo. Within a matter of a few short weeks, Seth accepted the position and moved out to Provo to begin his job. He started his position on March 19th, 2012. The kids and I joined him in Provo on April 7th 2012. The decision to move was surprisingly easy for us, as the position offered to Seth is a great opportunity for him and a chance for him to build his career. However, leaving Rio Rancho and all of our wonderful friends was difficult. We will always remember how much we loved our time in Rio Rancho and everything we learned while we were there. We look forward to new adventures back in good old Provo and are so excited for what lies ahead!

Clarity's Blessing

For President's Day weekend we took at quick trip to AZ for a couple of big events. First of all, one of my oldest and dearest friends was married Friday night and I was so glad I was able to attend! The ceremony and reception were gorgeous and the happy couple were glowing. Such a memorable night-even though I failed to snap a pic! :( On Sunday, we were able to attend sacrament meeting with my little bro when he blessed his firstborn Clarity. Jesse gave little Claire a beautiful blessing and she looked like such an angel in her dress (the same dress Lacey was blessed in!) It was a great weekend of baby holding, relaxing and enjoying the perfect AZ February weather! Even though it was a quick trip, I am so glad I was able to attend both of those special events!

 New Year's Eve!

We had a great time in TX for Christmas and New Year's 2011. We got a little over a week of quality family time and it was so nice to get away from it all and relax! There was lots of card playing, eating, zumba dancing, basketball playing, and Jimmer watching! The trip took a turn for the worse for me when a couple of days after Christmas I came down with an awful stomach bug! Though it didn't take long for me to figure out my little 'bug' is going to be with me for the next 9 months!

Thanksgiving 2011

I was so excited to host my family at our house for Thanksgiving this year! It was A LOT  of work getting ready, but I learned a TON and I am proud to say I cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner from start to finish! I am totally using this experience as a personal progress value project! :) It was so much fun having my entire family come visit us in RR. We had a pretty low key weekend. We played a lot of SCUM, were introduced to German Pancakes (yum!), did a little Black Friday shopping (but nothing too crazy), attended a session at the Albuquerque temple, and enjoyed the kiddos. Lacey even got spoiled with more b-day presents from Grandma and Grandpa! Thanks to my family for making the trip-it was really kinda nice to stay home for once over the Holidays!

Baby girl turns 1!!

I can't believe my little sweetheart is already 1 year old! That first year went by way too fast and I can't believe how quickly she is learning and changing. Lacey is such a chatterbox already and I have a feeling she will easily rival her brother in chattiness as time goes on. She loves to crawl around the house during the day and say "Daaaaaaaaaadddddddddyyyyyyyy"-her new favorite person. Yes, it's true my sweet little mama's girl has a new favorite. She loves to play with dad and gets so excited when he comes home. She also LOVES  to play with her brother and be silly. She is such a goofball already and she will try anything to get us to laugh at her. She loves to climb and we have a hard time keeping her strapped in to her high chair, shopping, carts, strollers-just about anything. She is super limber and flexible and I can already tell she will make a great gymnast someday soon. She loves to listen to music and sing and dance. She is an excellent eater and already eats as much as her brother does at most meals! She recently graduated to crawling on all fours. She also recently cut down to one nap a day and thankfully sleeps a beautiful 12 hours at night. Unlike the rest of her family, she is a morning person and wakes up cheerful and bouncing at 7 am each day. She is such a joy in our home and we are so lucky to have our sweet Lacey girl as a part of our family!
