Super cute family!!

 

They shoveled the snow all the way as we walked risa to the bus stop.  Sky buddy thought that was so much fun.

Skyler had to put a stocking on his head and he took on of my bells and at the top of his voice skipped around the room singing "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way"

When risa got home from school they had to go and build a snowman.  Although as I said skyler uses snowman to describe snow.  "This snowman needs more sugar", "I got snowman in my boot", or in this case "I will throw snowman at you"  "I get you with smowman"

He might have had a little fun throwning snowman at his sister and his mom!!

I have never seen skyler so calm sitting on santa's lap he was soooo sick.  If it weren't for the fact that we had to be there were would not.  I will say that when you are on the Lords Arrend how he blesses you...we were at the activity and as soon as the blessing was giving I could feel that his feaver was going down and he got better so fast.  Thank heavens for the priesthood.  It was really fun too because one of the members that had never given a blessing was able to do it with seth for his first time.  I was a super tender moment!!

We did get one smile even though he was not feeling well.

They were pretty happy to see santa.  This time santa asked skyler what he wanted for christmas and he said...."a lion rarrrrr"  I really think he ment the real thing!!  :D

Ok i had to add this one in becuase it made me laugh so hard.  Little Buddy was not happy to see santa!!

ok after a little bit jacen got a little happier.  It was tons of fun!!

Ok so I was really sad but this last trip to Vegas I did not get any photos but we had a great time!!  This time was a little slower pace because well lets just say that I was rather sick so we did not go out much.  But we went to the movies, played in the arcade, ate some good food (we went to a Honduran restaurant that was amazing!!!  Seth was so happy he got to have the real deal banana soda.  All of you who have not had banana soda are missing out.  Let me tell you I don't like the flavor of banana candies but I do like banana soda...yum!!!), and red boxed a few movies.  I know really lame this time but I was feeling pretty crappy but lets just say that we are excited that I was feeling gross...hint hint!!  :D  Oh and Seth scored a 171 ore 191 in bowling...let just say that it is the best score that I have ever seen him score ever and I was on his team.  Lets just say we won the company bowling party.  This was for sure the month of miracles...lol

This is me with such a fake smile.  This was right as my sewing machine was hating me or I was hating it or well I am not sure which but it was one of those moments that I wished I was in the cartoons and it was totally appropriate to throw it out the window and think nothing of it...lol.  Thank heavens that it decided soon thereafter to like me again.  We split up into groups and the boys went with the little men and made something out of wood and the girls made a wide assortment of crafts ranging from doll clothes to magnetic pencil holders to hair things.  The little girls loved it!!!

Grandma and papa pulled out the train and lets just say that the kiddos love, love, loved that!!!

Risa.....
    After Risa lost a tooth and she was having a hard time coming up with things to ask Santa for Christmas
        "mom, mom I know what I am going to ask Santa for"  Me- "What?"  Risa- "I am going to ask Santa to help me loose more teeth"  Me- "why are you going to ask him for that?"  Risa- "So I can get more money so I can buy more presents for Christmas"  (this is the point that mommy started to tear up because she wanted to loose more teeth just so she could buy more presents for others...she is a keeper!!)

Skyler was watching __________and well he now calls his bottom this!!  I had to capture this for Grandma.  Enjoy!!!  Can you guess the movie??

Well finally I am filling much better.  This last week was pretty interesting because after all the kiddos not feeling good and all of us getting the flu I got Walking Pneumonia.  So not much happened for the last few weeks all for the exception of the new happenings.  Seth this last Sunday was ordained a High Priest and was called to be in the Branch Presidency.  He had some mixed feelings about it.  In his interview with the member of the stake presidency he said "But I am too young to be a high priest president"...lol.  I don't know why but it is always interesting to move on to the next steps in life.  He has been pretty nervous about it.  It  really makes me feel for the Apostles.  I love watching when a new one is called and they get, during that first conference, the deer in the headlight look.  The one where they feel rather overwhelmed.  Then the next conference they seem more settled and confident.  I love to watch that change.  I have seen that look in my husbands eyes a few times during our married life and when they said that he was going to be ordained a High Priest I saw that in his eyes.  I think he was more nervous about being ordained then his calling.  He said "But really amazing people are High Priests"  I love my cute husband and am so glad that he is willing to serve.  I love how in the church we have the opportunity to serve and help each other and with each new calling comes lessons, blessings and new experiences to help others!!

I know kind of goofy to put it in my blog but like I said before I am horrible at keeping a journal so it mostly happens here.  :D

It was a pretty special day!!!

 Sky for obvious reasons did not get to go to church the next day and while at church Risa wrote him this note..I love how they love each other and want to watch out for one another!!!  They make quite the little team!!

She came back with a Haul!!!

Skyler and mommy hung out at home and watched Scooby-Doo....he mostly slept.

What do you eat on Halloween??  When you want Skyler to eat something because he has not eaten all day you choose Mac and Cheese to try and tempt him....did it work...NOPE!!!  But latter on we went and got him a Happy Meal with Chocolate milk.  Winner!!!  Thank you McDonald's for making food that my kiddos will eat even when they don't want to!!  :D

 And for sure he passed it along....the poor little man and mommy was in need of the bathroom too!!!  It is always better when you are sick together right?? 

I know kind of a funny photo but the humidifier has been our friend....running constantly.  This one my mom actually let us barrow and she has had it for 5 years.  Which in humidifier years at least at our house that is GOOD!!!  But our friend finally died.

Skyler did not let me get far.  If I would try to work on anything in another room he really would not let me and call me back.  So mommy decided it was time to develop some talents that I really don't have.  YouTube is amazing you can learn all sorts of things.  But these are the first flowers that I have ever crochet...and the first scarf.

The RS is doing scarfs and hats for the kids in the branch and this is my first set!!  :D  They turned out I think pretty good for my first time.  I messed up on a few things but it went pretty good!!!

For a fun indoor activity we decided to do Carmel apples.  It was the first time i have ever tried to make Carmel so it turned out a little harder then I would have liked but it was really fun to do all together...and Risa did not feel quite as bad that she missed her school parties.

We decided that we would go over to grandma's Halloween party...because well they had been pretty sick too!!  It was fun.  I did not finish their other costumes because we were not going to get to use them much so we decided to save them for next year!!  So everyone got to decide what they wanted to wear with the stuff that we had around the house.  Sky went as Wolverine, Risa as Tiana, Seth as Harry Potter(got to use the graduation robe again...lol) and I went as a Nurse (given the circumstances I thought that was pretty funny)  Grandma's Party was super fun!!!
