Her first recital

I didn't really forget I had a blog. I think we've turned a corner since Lucy turned one! Catch up posts on that and lots more to follow...

Last night was E's first dance recital. She was amazing! We were so proud of her!

(First day of dance - 9 months ago)
She made a lots of sweet friends in dance class throughout the year and recital was SO much fun. Most definitely the first time she wore red lipstick!

I think W was in a dancing mood after the show which is really funny because this is what he was doing the whole time:

(Watching matchbox videos on YouTube)

Right after the show E put on her sunglasses (it was dark and stormy out) like she was waiting for the paparazzi.

Thanks G and Papa for the cookie bouquet- so fun on E's special day!

It was a really good night.

Sticks and stones may break my washing machine

But watching my kids collect them will never hurt me.

Lucy as Jesus

Guess which unholy family was recruited for the church nativity when the original actor came down with hand, foot and mouth disease? That's right. Troy's in a headdress.

8 months!

Better get this pic in before she turns 9 months. I actually take the photo on time, it just doesn't always make it to the blog right away. The months fly by like days!

His first full golf game

...with Daddy and Papa. He's 4 and he is a way, way better golfer than me.

Hayride

Aunt Hootie (Judy) and Uncle John have hosted a Christmas party every year for as long as I can remember. A big feast and hanging of the green and hayride and sometimes caroling at the local nursing home... I remember these parties and fun hayrides from when I was a child, and here's my girl enjoying it now with cousin Parker. So special.

The hayride was awesome. So glad our city kids had the opportunity to see the bright stars from a trailer filled with hay out in the country. Us city folk like the country too. We like it a lot.

7 months!

Yay for Lucy! Here she's posing for her 7 month pic in her brother's oh-so-stylish old Aggie Santa tshirt. Happy 7 months sweet girl!

Random side note

E always wears her sunglasses upside-down. Will and I have both explained multiple times that the arm hooks behind your ear... She will have none of that. So strange and yet I know I'll miss it when she learns to turn them right-side-up.
