Halloween was on a Monday this year. Not the funnest time to go trick or treating. Jonah was the only one that got dressed up and then he didn't even go out! Noah and Caleb drove over to Kirk and Keta's for a little bit and then came home. Maizey had school until 7pm. Toby and I sat outside some of the night handing out candy. We didn't get a lot of trick or treaters, but it's like that every year. The other side of the neighborhood has all the kids. So it's crazy busy over there. I love Halloween! It's one of my favorite holidays. I love to decorate for it, inside and out!

Annual pumpkin and caramel apples
Tonight I had the married kids over for dinner. I ordered pumpkin bread bowls and I made broccoli cheese soup. Then we carved pumpkins and made caramel apples. I love this tradition and can't wait to have grandkids to add to the fun! Tim, Kami and Caleb made a Flash pumpkin since they love watching that TV show. Maizey and Jonah did the alphbet from the movie Stranger Things. Bentley and Cal did the Tartis door from Dr. Who. Me and Noah just did a happy face. It was a fun night!

Jonah's room
Well, it's been a few weeks since we last painted bedrooms. We've had a lot going on. We decided to tackle Jonah's room since his was the cleanish and easiest to move around. Haha! Toby is a master at painting and boy I am grateful! He started with rolling and I helped do the taping and trimming. We had that room done in 3 hours! We even changed out his yucky brown misshaped blinds out for white one that match the rest of the house. Looks real nice. Now on to Caleb's and Porter's.

Temple
Our Bishop has given us a challenge to find names to take to the temple and do the work. Well, Bentley has been really good at finding names. She found 23 boys and 22 girls names to do baptisms for. So as a family we went to temple to do the work. Maizey had work and wasn't able to go. Since there was so many girl names I decided to do some. I was a little nervous, since I haven't done baptisms since I was 12! But it turned out just fine. :) We had a lovely night at the temple. Now we have helped with this challenge.

Montelena ward Trunk or Treat
Tonight we had our ward trunk of treat. I signed up to make Chili. I made Rod's famous chili. It's won a couple competitions back in the day. :) I also made corn bread and GF cornbread. I try to sign up and make things GF so Toby has something it eat, plus he kinda gets nervous eating at Pot Lucks. Haha! I like to dress up for Halloween, but sometimes I chicken out. Haha! But this year, I didn't back down and I made Toby do it with me too! Haha! I bought us Superman and woman t-shirts. So, nothing too fancy. But I wore a red tutu to go with mine! Haha! But I liked this idea because it had an "S" on the front, so it could stand for Severtson too! Haha! The boys went early to help out. We showed up and decorated our trunk. Then we had dinner. They had games and a costume parade for the kids. Then the trunk or treating began! Saw some pretty cute costume and some original ones. It was a fun night!

Which included his last required ones. Noah was recognized as receiving his Eagle Scout and Caleb received 2 more palms! So proud of you boys!

FHE and ice cream!
Usually after the boys do their Eagle board of review and pass, we take them to Cold Stone creamery to reward them for their hard work. Toby and I were in Australia when Noah did his, so we weren't able to go until we got back. So for family night we took the boys to go get ice cream! Good job Noah for getting your Eagle!
Watch out everyone! Noah has his license!!
Now that Noah is finally an Eagle scout, we let him get his drivers license! Woohoo! I know, I'm a mean mom! Haha! Today, I took Noah out of school for half a day to go get his license. We went to the DMV on Greenfield. Surprisingly, we didn't have to wait too long to get our ticket. We waited for awhile to be seen and fill out paper work and pay the fee. Then they asked if we had an appointment to do his road test..... Uh..no. They told us that you have to have an appointment now. They changed the policy about 3 or 4 months ago. I was just there about a year ago with Maizey and I didn't even know you could make an appointment. So now we know to schedule one with Caleb in 2 weeks! We also found out that all the drivers branches do the 3 point turn. We had come to Greenfield because of that, but would've preferred going to AJ because it's less crowded. So now we know that. I was so sad for Noah to have to wait another week to get his license. But they told us to try some other branches to see is if they had any appointments left for the day. Unfortunatley, no one did! Bummer! So we went home. As I was talking with Toby about it, he had mention the 3 party DMV and to see how much it would cost to have him do that! So I called a few places and found one in AJ that was only $25 and could walk in right now. So we high tailed it over there! Luckily no one was there waiting to do the test, but we found out it was a parallel parking test! Yikes! Noah seem pretty confident that he could do it. They let him practice and did pretty good. So we paid that fee and he did his road test and we were done and gone just under an hour! Woohoo! Hallelujah!! We have another Sevark driver in the house! In 2 more weeks. It will be Caleb's turn!

Happy 6th Familyversary!!
Toby and I got back from Autralia just in time to celebrate our 6th year anniversary! Australia was a great way to kick off the weekend celebrating it. Last year a friend had posted on Facebook that their whole family celebrates their anniversary. I really liked this idea and so I started it last year. We went out to dinner as a family. This year we decided to have dinner at home since we've add 2 more people to our family. I think we'll keep doing it this way since, we'll just keep adding with kids spouses. :) We had grandma Glasgow over too since it was her Sunday to eat with us. Kami, Tim, Bentley and Cal came over too. We had made grandma Clark's yummy pepperchini roast with mashed potatoes and yummy gravy. We had a lovely dinner and a good time visiting with each other. We are very blessed to have such an amazing family! We've accomplished many things over these past 6 years. Eagle scouts, YW medallions, school awards, jobs, scholarships, college, 4 missionaries and 2 temple marriages. We've worked hard and have have many adventures. Life is Good!

Noah's Eagle Board of Review
Thursday Noah had his Board of Review to get his Eagle! Unfortunately, Toby and I were in Australia, so Noah had to find 2 people to go with him and drive. He had Bro. Miner and Bro. Halls from the Bishopric take him. WE are grateful for these two men to take time out of their busy schedules and help us out. We are so very proud of Noah for doing something hard and following through with it and finishing it up. It took him a year to finish the packet, but we're glad it's done and over now and he can finally get his drivers license. Way to go Noah! I know your dad would be very proud of you. Grandpa Clark sure is! Also grandpa Glasgow is looking down on you with a big smile that you did it!
