Lexine loves to through parties and we both loving having the kids and grandkids over to visit, so it was the perfect opportunity for a swim party now that its getting warmer.  It was a BYOP event -- bring your own Pizza!  :-)  We were only missing Kami & Tim's family since they also had the Kasper family party.  And Porter & Amy were on vacation in Hawaii all this week.  But the rest of us had a great time eating pizza and swimming in the pool.  I think Leo loved it most of all as he just floated and was held by all of us as happy as could be!  It was a nice afternoon and evening to be together as a family...  

Garrett lets us in on his secret plans to propose to Bailey last night while many of us were at the cabin, so this evening we had all the family over while they announced their engagement to us and shared the video Bailey's mom took while Garrett proposed.  It was a wonderful evening celebrating with them.  Several of us were awake at 11:00pm when the text messages from Garrett started coming in last night, so we were all excited to hear the full story from both of their perspectives.  We're excited to welcome Bailey into our large family!  Congratulations Garrett & Bailey!  

We had a lovely weekend away from the heat at the cabin this weekend for any of the family who were available...unfortunately only Kami & Tim and kids, and Porter & Amy were able to join us, but we had a great time regardless with good food and the Grandkids had the time of their lives playing from the early morning hours until late!  Grandma & Grandpa Severtson were there as well...James calls them Grandma Great and Grandpa Great.  It was also fun since James was working on getting potty trained this week, so he had a lot of fun peeing on trees!  We left to come home around noon today for everyone to come over for the Garrett & Bailey's exciting news to be shared!  

This evening Lexine held her 2021 Spring Piano Recital!  We had all her students and their families over to see perform the songs they've been practicing -- they are all getting so good, especially those who have been taking for a couple years now!  It was a lot of fun and nice to visit with everyone in our home!

 Happy Mother's Day to Lexine and all the great mother's we've been so blessed to have in our family -- both our mother's and daughters who have become wonderful mothers themselves.  We were able to get out and visit most of them who are nearby, but we also remember the great mother Cindy is as well.  It was a wonderful weekend spoiling Lexine by taking her to a nice breakfast at Kneaders, then a bike ride on her new bike, and dinner at KrazySub -- her favorite!  Caleb & Jonah called as well from their missions.  And it was also wonderful visiting Grandma Severtson, Grandma Porter, Grandma Glasgow and remotely with Grandma Clark.  We couldn't have been blessed with any better mothers in our lives.   Happy Mother's Day to each of you...we love and are grateful for the great examples you are!  

Lexine hasn't been feeling all that great for many months again -- pretty much the same thing she had when we first got married, however we're bless to know what it is now and how to treat it.  So she's been back at the Mayo Clinic for many tests and procedures.  They've been doing any and every test once again just to make sure things are not getting worse -- which so far everything looks pretty much the same as the last time -- but they've been infusing her with Rituxan again which seems to be a saving medicine.  Thank goodness for insurance since it is some extremely expensive stuff!  We're glad she appears to be on the mend once again and feeling better!
