Pinkin' It

Well today is the 15th day that we've had pink eye in the house & it's getting old.  I haven't gone anywhere except to take Hyrum to school in the last 15 days & although I'm a homebody 15 days is kinda long.  Dallen & I were the last ones to get it.  He got it for a day & I'm going on my 7th day looking like this guy.  Well minus the dreadlocks & goatee.  And the red part is actually on the whites of my eyes but you get the idea.

Here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks. There wasn't any park-going so we played a lot in our yard, in the house, & wore our pj's almost non-stop.

I have to say how grateful I am for my two oldest boys.  I don't know what I'd do without them & I need to tell them that more often.  Hyrum can get the twins out of their beds, he can pour milk & cereal for breakfast & get himself completely ready for school.  All I need to do is teach him how to change diapers & I could sleep in when school is out :)  He also buckles the twins in their car seats.

Hunter makes his own ham sandwich, gets snacks & water for all the kids, puts movies on by himself & polices the twins when I'm nursing.  I know I shouldn't let him do that but it really does help.  If Emma snatches from Justin he helps give the toy back etc.  And he always lets me know if they're, say, eating toothpaste or doing something illegal around here.  Hunter & Dallen already have a special bond I think.  Hunter is the only one of the other kids that Dallen will smile, coo & giggle at.  He loves Hunter & when he hears his voice he tries to find him.  Whenever Dallen starts fussing or crying I've watched & Hunter stops whatever he's doing (even if it's watching a movie, playing cars or legos etc.) & will try to cheer him up.  It usually works too.

What would we do without legos

Or nest building I don't know

Bath time! (Should be doing the dishes time too I guess)

Sigh...I am in love with this kid...it's so fun to have a baby in the house!

Easter

We finally had our egg hunt last night.  Saturday was rainy & I was in a Benadryl-induced coma all day long for a weird rash I had from the antibiotics I was taking for a swollen lymphnode.

Anyway, Jeremy dyed eggs with the kids Saturday but we really wanted to do a hunt.  It was a perfectly beautiful evening & it was fun for the twins to be old enough to be excited about it this year.

Family picture accomplished!

Pa & Darlin'

After Jeremy's break from work my Dad (Pa) came out to help us for 9 days.  He was a great help!  He took care of the kids in the mornings so I could sleep in, cleaned up the kitchen every night after dinner, took the kids to the park, nature center & to play in the yard.  He & Jeremy kept each other company in the evenings when I got some extra sleep.  I thought it was so cool that my kids got their Pa all to themselves for that long.  My Mum (Darlin') came out to help the week after my Dad & they overlapped for Conference weekend.  She was an incredible amount of help as always when she comes out.  Our kitchen was the cleanest it's ever been & the kids were happy finding roly poly bugs & ladybugs every day out in the yard.  I feel very spoiled by everyone who has helped us!!  I have had someone with me for the last 6 weeks & reality is going to set in big time starting tomorrow morning.  Wish me luck!

We made this cake & it was delicious & easy & looked cool.  And the cake part was a mix-love that.

Attack of the kisses!  They would just not leave the guy alone.  I told my Dad that they have never done that to anyone but their Daddy-bear so he should feel special :)

Each grandparent that came out was able to take Hunterbug to his gymnastics class & see the boy in action.

First family picture. I'll have to work on that & try to get one where we're all facing the camera & at least looking pleasant - I won't even expect everyone to be smiling

I am so grateful for everyone's help while we adjust to having 5 kids.  It's been great so far & we feel so blessed to have wonderful family & to have such a sweet, happy baby!
