December 2016
Going for a ride!
The boys have been very much into taking crazy selfies sometimes on my phone but mostly on the big camera....very interesting faces sometimes...
Decorating the house! We usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving but because we were still waiting to get our new carpet all the way in we had to wait until December 2nd. That helped us get in the Christmas mood!
Meeting Frosty for the first time
Cute Justy
Making a countdown chain
Making treats for friends
On November 10th I had a cyst cut off of my face. It got infected a few weeks later but was cleared up with some antibiotics. I've had two moles taken off of my back too lately. A grand total of about 25 stitches in the last couple of months!!
We spent over two hours making snowflakes one night & kept making them for days afterwards. They were hanging up all over the house - so fun
Eating left over rice
Eliza was sick for like almost 6 weeks so when she was finally herself & better again I had to snap some pictures of her happy face! I forgot how happy she normally is
Polar Express night in our makeshift box trains & hot cocoa is one of our favorite Christmas traditions. My Mum was with us (to watch the kids while I had some moles taken off my back)
While my Mom was here Emma had her first tap dance recital at the convention center. They danced to Rockin' around the Christmas tree. She was so nervous but then when it was over she wanted to go up & do more dances. I was so proud of her for trying something new & doing her best & being brave! Her class went to perform at a nursing home later in the week. I made her a gold skirt & had to make Eliza a matching one. I stopped at making one for me too ;)
Lizie & Darlin became best buds while she was with us. As much of a Momma's girl as she is she would reach for my mom & want her over me sometimes which was amazing! I love that they live close & my kids can bond with them like this. So blessed.
Justy had his last game while my Mom was here so we all got to go to his game. He made a basket!! For not knowing anything about the game Justin did so well! I was so very proud of him for trying something new & we could tell he tried really hard to improve & he did. He told me in the summer he would never play on a team sport (I think they made him nervous) & then this past month he said he wants to play basketball every year.
Lizie can crawl & does but not a ton - she much prefers to stand & have you walk her around the house. She stands on her own for several seconds at a time & has actually taken 2 little steps on her own at a time. This girl wants to be up & running around like everyone else around here.
Preschool in December was lots of fun
The kids did a great job at their school Christmas concert. The boys once again played prelude before it started & did awesome! And we won a pumpkin pie :)
Hunter's face when he found his movie ticket to see Rogue 1 - Jeremy was going with a friend at the same showing that Hyrum was going with a friend & Hunter was feeling a little left out so I surprised him with a ticket of his own.
It actually snowed for like 20 minutes one Saturday! It was so pretty & gentle coming down. We had to throw on our rainboots & go for a walk to enjoy it. It melted pretty quickly - that's my favorite kind of snow!
Decorating sugar cookies with friends. The picture right above brought back lots of memories of when the twins were babies!
Gingerbread houses (read graham cracker houses glued with hot glue with left over Halloween candy- awesome!)
Shepherds night
Snowmen pizza & movie night
It's been a rainy autumn but we've had some beautiful cold & sunny days. The kids were still able to play outside during Christmas break. I loved having them home so much! We could sleep in, read loads of books together, play games, watch movies & relax.
Christmas Eve Eve breakfast- new tradition
Story time before sleep over
My parents came for Christmas! They arrived 3 days before Christmas & left Christmas afternoon. As always we love having them here.
Christmas Eve traditions
Stockings Sunday morning before our cinnamon roll & fruit salad breakfast
Gifts!
Oh my oh my it was a Lego Christmas for sure - 15 sets in all! If there were no Lego's I would have no idea what to get my kids!
The Star Wars plates my brother Zac got us are a BIG hit
Liking her ball pit & first sink bath
Finally got her own scooter - and it's PINK!
Hello!
It's so weird but Eliza loves it when Hunter wraps her all up in these soft blankets. I really can't blame her they're almost therapeutic for me too
"seesters"
Over New Years weekend we had some great beach combing weather. It's been cold but sunny!
Justy finally lost his first tooth!
Lots of girl selfies going on around here
I finally updated my sink pictures - the last time I did this Dallen wasn't even crawling yet! They sure have changed a lot in 4 years
Lizie pictures - awwww so sweet! I love how she crosses her feet, points her toes & sticks her tongue out.
