Faith Anna's Medieval Festival

Faith Anna's 3rd grade Medieval Festival was today!  She had the choice of which character she dressed as....and she chose a peasant!  Didn't she look so cute? Her project was on an Illumination.  She chose to illuminate the word "Trust"...and talked about how Proverbs 3:5-6 are some of her favorite verses.  I am so proud of the young woman Faith Anna is becoming.  And she is such a gifted speaker...she has such stage presence, is comfortable, and is able to even joke with the audience.  Everyone afterward came up and complemented her on her presentation.  Way to go, girl!

Mother-Son Fun

While Luke was out with the girls, I had my own date with the boys!  But no gussying up for us.  Instead...Mi Cocina nachos, Adventure Landing Go Carts, and ice cream for dessert.  We had so much fun!

Matching shoes....

Go carts...even in a cast!

Bubba thought he could beat us, but he underestimated the power and speed of Mama!
And you can't NOT finish a date without Braum's blue superman ice cream!

Slurp slurp...you just can't!
Thanks boys for such a fun evening.  I love you forever...

Daddy Daughter Dance

Last night the ladies got all gussied up and headed out for a night on the town with their Daddy.  The annual neighborhood Daddy Daughter Dance!  The girls look so forward to this all year.  Luke got them pretty wrist corsages...they were just thrilled!

Sweet girls
I love that our neighborhood does this each year.  And that my sweet Luke takes time to love on the girls, take them on dates, and show them how a man should treat a lady....

Short Films...

We have been taking acting classes at AMTC on Thursday nights and having a blast!  One of the things they encourage us to do is audition for student short films.  So we've auditioned for several at UNT and one at SMU.  Just heard this week that Luke got the part of a Lieutenant in a UNT short film called Homefront.  So excited for him!

And we also heard that Luke, Beth, Tag and I all got parts in an SMU short film called Sons of Man.  I am so excited about this one because it is a faith-based film that was written and is being directed and produced by a gifted film student named Sara Nime.  She is so creative and has such vision!  I am one of the 4 lead characters in the film....Luke is my "love interest" (convenient, huh?) and Tag is my son (also works out nicely.)  Beth plays the younger sister to another lead character.  And Sara said that Logan and Faith Anna could be extras just for experience!  I am so excited about our first endeavor with film....and that the movie has such a good message.

Will update you more soon!

Tag's broken arm

Well, leave it to our last kiddo to be the first kiddo with a broken bone!  Yes, Tag fell last night and broke his arm.  He was playing soccer out in the front yard with his sisters.  Then when Luke got home and pulled into the driveway, he ran over with the soccer ball to say hi.  They started dribbling the ball there in the driveway for a few minutes....and sure enough, Tag lost his balance during an intricate ball maneuver, and fell catching himself on his outstretched arm.  Broke the left distal radius.  Poor guy.  But boy was he a trooper in the ER!  Look at that smile....

So then this morning, we went to Dr. Burney's office to get his "real cast".  Still smiling...but I think it's because the cast is still such a novelty.  He chose purple, of course.

Omni Hotel

Well the spring semester is in full-speed-ahead mode.  School is hustling and bustling with 5th, 3rd,1st, and pre-K curriculums spinning out of control around this house!  We are crazy, but we are having fun.  And God did it again.  Our 3rd job booked- all 6 of us.  I really have to say that I am amazed at God's kindness once again....to show us our calling as a family.  We booked a commercial for the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas.  Again, we played a real family (ha!) that is staying at the hotel.  We filmed the spot where the family is splashing around in the pool together.  It was a lot of fun...except that on February 16, outdoors on the 10th floor terrace of the hotel....it was a bit chilly!  But the show must go on.  So we just faked it....chill bumps and all.  I don't have any pics yet of our outing, but as soon as I get the video link, I'll post it!

Thanks Lord, for your goodness.
