Camping

Marshall and Pappy (mostly Pappy) did an amazing job restoring the airstream. We have definitely used it over the last few weeks.

We camped at the farm one night.

We camped at Mineral Wells State Park.

We camped at Revolver Brewery in Granbury.

This and That

Some fun things we have done lately.....

Swinging with Granelly.

We went to see Peter Pan at Bass Hall.

We went to see Winnie the Pooh at Casa Mañana.

We saw Seussical the Musical with Granelly.

Dinner out with these guys is never boring.

Dinner in with these guys is never boring either. After Sunday dinner in Weatherford Jackson started dragging Granelly around the room.

I am thankful for every minute of craziness with these boys.

Allaso Ranch Father Son Retreat

Jackson was finally old enough to go to the Father Son retreat with our church. Grant was very upset he could not go. VERY. He cried for at least 15 minutes after they left and each morning would run to the window to see if they were home.

Jack had a great time learning about Jesus, making candles, playing paintball, s'mores and much more.

Catch Up- Easter

I have not been great about posting lately so here is a required "catch up" post. Lets begin with Easter.

The boys had egg hunts at their preschool.

Then on Easter Sunday we went to church and had lunch afterwards. Our families came over in the evening for an egg hunt and dinner.

Mud Run

I signed the boys up for their first race, the Dirty Scurry. Grant was too young, but I ran with him and he did fine. Jack had a blast but refused to get too dirty.

We celebrated after the race at Mamas Pizza. Grant dressed himself.

Piano Recital

Jackson completed another semester of piano at TCU. He still enjoys playing and practicing. I even caught him teaching Grant one evening.

Marshall joined in with his guitar one night.

The night of his recital Marshall was in DC for work but Granelly and Pappy were able to come. Jackson played the song Birthday Train. He did great. There were a room full of parents and family. I was not nervous about his playing, mostly I was nervous about him and Grant sitting still and quiet during the other 15 performances! Both boys did great.

Jackson seems to really love music. I hope this is something h wants to continue for many years to come.

Leah

Florida Trip 2013

Last weekend we headed to Florida to camp on the beach in the airstream! We picked the boys up early from preschool and set off for Miramar Beach. The boys did great on the drive. Lots of snacks, movies, leap pad, ipad, coloring books made the time go by. We made it to Alabama and camped at a yogi bear park. Thursday morning we woke up early and we were on the beach by 11am!

We headed to Seaside on Saturday.

We had the best time. The beach and water are so beautiful. The sand is so white that when we first arrived Jackson said, "look Mommy there is snow on the beach!" We enjoyed our time so much that the constant sand in my bed didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. We cannot wait to go back.
