Giving Thanks 2009

We had a wonderful first Thanksgiving as a family of 4. We ran in the Turkey Trot and had lunch with my family and then headed to Mason, Texas to celebrate with Marshall's family. The 4 hour road trip went really well. No melt downs of any kind. In fact, while we were at the ranch Grant started sleeping for 4 and 5 hours at a time. AMEN!! I think we have finally turned a corner.

Marshall's Aunt Rhonda makes Martha Stewart look like an amateur. She made this chefs outfit for Jackson. He loves it and I do too!

This picture makes me laugh. Jack is all decked out in his manly hunting gear and is pushing a stroller. He pushed this stroller for most of the weekend. I think I know what to get him for Christmas.

Mommy and Baby G hanging out inside.

Here are the Moms and all 7 kids under the age of 3. I love these girls. We had a great time together. I only wish they lived closer.

Marshall looking scared and me looking angry....not sure why to either. Sweet outfit Babe.

This is little Hudson. He has the most beautiful blue eyes.

So rough and tough!

I think these two are going to be great friends.

Marshall and Jackson driving the tractors.

My other little hunter......

So sweet, in their PJs watching TV before bed. Jackson wanted to be wherever Mason was.

Kara is super Mom, she had just come in from shooting a 10 point buck and still had time to play with the girls before bed.

Here are the quads....Addison, Caitlyn, Brooklyn and Jackson.

I have more pictures from the Turkey Trot and the ranch so check back soon!

1 Month, 2 Brothers, 3 hours of sleep

Well, Grant is almost 5 weeks old and I feel like I have gotten about 5 hours of sleep total since he was born. I know things will get better and I have SO much help to be thankful for......but I could handle him skipping out on at least one feeding at night. He is eating every 2 to 3 hours still. We call him Daddy's Little Fatty and The Tank. I am so glad he is a good eater and is putting on weight. Marshall is a huge help and Jackson has been a great big brother still. Both sets of Grandparents have been lifesavers too. I haven't been great about taking pictures but luckily I found a few on my phone and Pappy always takes pictures when we are their house.

This pic is a little blurry because I took it with my phone, but the boys had just woken up from a nap and were hanging out in Mommy's bed. So sweet.
Jackson and Neriah playing in the leaves. Yes, Jackson is eating a white powdered donut. Yum!

Marshall and Grant, both about to fall asleep.

Jackson and I, ready to go night-night.

G-Man, awake when everyone else is ready to go to bed.....What a sweet face.

He is growing up so fast.

Leah

2 Dinos...or 2 Dragons...or are they Alligators??

We had a really fun Halloween. We went out to the Shepard's and took Jack trick-or-treating for the first time. He loved it. Marshall was gracious enough to dress up too. He acted like he wasn't enjoying himself but deep down I think he was just jealous that Jack was stealing some of the spotlight.

Here is Baby Grant doing what he does best....besides eating and pooping.
The rest of the family about to head out into the neighborhood.
My two dragons..or dinosaurs...or maybe Marshall is an Alligator.

The first house we went to no one was home. We were out by about 5:30 so we might have been a little early.
Our second attempt was a success.
My Little Treater
His little legs got tired after a while.
He kept pointing out the full moon.
Showing off his candy.
Granelly got into the spirit of things. This is the good picture.
This one is more realistic. Jackson with his finger up his nose. Marshall looking not so excited about heading out on the town again.
This is our Jack-o-Lantern.
