So like father like sons, the boys have really taken to the JY Ranch. Dad (Pappy) and I have been hunting at this really special place since I was 5. Jack made his first trip when he was 3, and Grant last fall at 2. It's amazing how these guys can show us things about the ranch we haven't appreciated in decades. We do ALOT of hiking, telling stories, eating candy, looking for arrowheads and just driving around in the cruiser. They love it. We haven't shot much this year but have had a ton of fun. I don't think I can or want to go with out them! Don't get me wrong, we still hunt but for...cheetahs, hyenas, pigs, deer, turkeys, coyotes, bobcats, and jack rabbits. We just haven't shot anything yet this year!

The boys in a creek bed after a long hike. We've driven over the creek for years, just never really explored it!

Learning from Pappy how the windmill pumps water without electricity. By the way, he really knows how they work.

On top of the world! It's really just a dirt pile by a dredged out tank. But, we sure felt like it :)

Grant the "Line Leader". He was our guide this trip. We didn't really get in a hurry...ever.
I'll try to start posting some. The boys are growing like crazy and are keeping us outside more and more. Thanks to Pappy for making it possible for us to go to the JY and learn so much together!
