Doing some last minute changes to my bid and attempting to read the national day rally now. But there are sooo many pages. Which is very hard to do for apathetic people like me.. Hmm though I guess it's not good. Just that it's so easy to accept everything being done for you and not critique or ask questions as long as it doesn't affect you. But things are different now. As much as I feel so comfortable having this can't-be-bothered attitude, I have to be more involved and participate more. Besides, my results are at stake..!! No la, it's not really anything to do with that or I wouldn't have chosen such a course in the first place.
Anywayy.. it was quite interesting. Just now, about 9pm++, my dad had this call about a fire at toa payoh industrial area. So since it was quite nearby, we decided to skip all the fighting parts of Hero to go and just to kaypoh a bit haha. And for some other reason as well. At first, we thought the place would be already burnt, chaodarred and the fire would already have been put out. But when we reached there, the place was still burning and surrounded by lots of fire engines!! Most of the area was sealed off, but we could see a lot of smoke rising, and the weird thing was.. the smoke was YELLOW. Looked more like the factory was burning from sulphur or something. Bleah, and it smelled as bad too.. Like some sort of burning rubber. Stinkiness!! So, like the rest of the crowd, we did the only thing we could do, which was to stand around, cover our noses and take pictures with our handphones. Which I can't upload cuz my acer bluetooth needs some weird pin number! Rawrr. Just hope nobody got hurt. It's been such a nice, sleepy pig-out day. And it's time to sleep again. Yay. Haha that was so random.. Like everything else. =) ~the frail, thin, silky threads of the spider web blown in the wind~ how long will yours last?

I hate blogger because you can't edit posts.
Coloured everything nicely and then it alway has a stupid error. So it's ALL blue again. So much so that you can't make head or tail out of anything that easily. BLEAH.
Wahaha. Funniness. I was wearing my Pirates of the Carribean shirt, the one with Jack Sparrow ( =D =D!!) on it. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, my grandmother suddenly springs up with her eyes side-opened in shock and points horrendously at my shirt saying, "Why you wear Osama tshirt?!!!" Wah lao.. jack sparrow really look like osama meh?!!
Hurhur. Anyway.. yesterday was the LAST english language workshop (ELW) class. Finally. For days (since monday), we've been sitting in the class listening about theses, theses more theses, the only things we could think clearly about was LUNCH and GO HOME.. and maybe TAKE PICTURE.. Over and done with. Met Jo and Terence later around town to watch fireworks. Ended up going with part of T27 to see. Quite nice people. Ended up at a nice grass patch at the esplanade, armed with loads of kfc chicken. Haha. The fireworks was damn nice la!! Usually, when we see fireworks, it just occupies one tiny portion of the sky. And maybe just three or four big ones, whatever you call it, occurring simultaneously at most. But yesterday night, it was just ALL OVER THE SKY. Everywhere you turn to, it's like either gold and glittery or big and colourful. So prettaye!! =D After that, we were supposed to go to mind cafe. But it was super full. Bleah. So ended up in tcc and macs all the way to 6am just to wait for the first train in the morning. TIREDNESS!! Played so much nonsense just to past time. And ended up chatting to other nocturnal people on msn until my laptop battery died. So bo liao right. Hahaha. But it's still fun in it's own way. Haha. I've been tagged. Again! Red, amber, green, red, amber, green.. The colours shook around. She bent down on the spot, tucked her head under her arms, and just wished it would go away. But it wouldn't. It appeared to enjoy tormenting her. Again and again, it tossed around in her head. She stayed fixated, her mind playing psychological games, as world just moved on without her.

After weeks of not blogging.. this is like super long...
2nd day of English Language Workshop (ELW) ! Oh boy.. Having lessons and all even before school officially starts. Rahhr. Writing intros and thesis statements almost the whole day. And msn-ing away at the same time, like everybody else. Haha. The joys of having laptops in class. Yay. Saw loads of nus people selling flags on the way home too. Didn't get to see my dear jo and aud though.. Rahhr.. jo was far far away in dover and the auddie is busy slacking at home!!! Hmph.. Stupid GP. How in the world do you get a B3 and above for A levels?? Now so many people gotta attend the workshop.. But ok la I guess it's good to see how lessons are like and make new friends and all. Always have this bad habit of being late.. Was late again today. And if I don't make it there earlier than 9.15, I'll be marked absent!! Bleah.. But what to do when you really don't feel sleepy until like 2-3am..?? So hard to wake up.. No no. It's not good. I'll be early on thursday! Travelling all the way from woodlands this time, instead of nice, old novena. Have to wake up even earlier. O.ooo.. The last few weeks were damn fun. Camps camps camps like nobody's business. First, it was the sports camp. The people were kinda quiet initially. Hanging out with ryan most of the time and chatting about all the cj days. And torturing eugene with A LOT of black magic. Haha. Hm kinda stoned sometimes la.. but that's until we brought out poker cards. Really funny to play indian poker with FHM cards! Usually can tell from peoples' faces whether your card is big or small.. but this time, all you can tell is whether the girl on the card is hot or not so hot. Damn nonsense. Also, how could the facils let us off without having a nice adventure right.. So off we were one day, running around trying to get lorries to give us lifts to everywhere (quite unsuccessful though), golfing, shooting arrows, rockclimbing, whisked up in that gigantic dhl balloon and dragon boating all in the name of our own smu amazing race. Then playing frisbee, floorball, touch-rugby, water polo and swimming all over the place the next day. Hurhur. Maybe I shall go and join frisbee already. *grin* SMUX camp, the smu extreme camp, was also really cool!! The group was damn on about everything and we gelled so well together. That's why we've called ourselves.. *drumroll*.. GELLO!! Yay. And we (credit goes to rachel) came up with a group cheer too!! Goes something like that. Check it out. (emphasize the 1st syllable of the last word when saying the cheer) We are GELLO! (wobble like jello jelly) We love teh-O!! (hand action of holding cup and drinking) We look so seh-o!!! (look smugly and do an "everything's cool" hand action) Come on, go GELLO!!!! (do the smu jump as you say gello) *cheers madly* So with such a great group and great cheer.. of course we won the "group that cheered the most" prize!! Wahaha!! Yay, free water bottles!! Haha. It was a whole new experience altogether. Trekking along some ulu railway (which is actually still in use) somewhere in clementi. Horribly muddy by the way.. Bleah. Me and mud don't mix. But it was still interesting, especially taking picture on top of those metal bridges where you find railway tracks. Aiyo.. how to describe.. And then night cycling after that from there all the way to west coast park. Waah.. wanted to run to my dad's house to sleep already. Tried out blading and scuba diving and kayaking too!! And the whole thing ended with the best telematch ever. Spent lots of time playing double forfeit indian poker!! Very jialat man if you kenah the forfeits. Haha. And indulging on loads of RED TEA LONGAN DESSERT. Go to changi village and try if you haven't tried it yet. It is simply too good. =) Last camp. BONDUE, the business camp. Not as much action as the other 2 camps. At least not as much running involved. But still very fun too. Because we were a great group. Haha. Played the business version of amazing race.. and there was this shi zi lu kou (food game) incorporated in it. We were like moving all over botanic gardens, holland v and marine parade looking for clues. Then the marine parade stop, someone had to cut a mohawk at the QBHouse. Haha and gerald actually volunteered on the spot! Then our salesmanship was put to the test when we had to sell cards and other small things at prices like $10. Siao la. To think there were actually people generous enough to buy.. Then all the groups also had to put up dance performances cuz there was this section (about 4 groups per section) dance competition. Which was no problem cuz some people were already getting good practise from all the kaching and "pole"-dancing (more like pillar-dancing) forfeits. =p. Haha. But I think the best part was playing avalanche on the last night of the camp. So hilarious!! Practically everyone was quite concussed after the whole thing. And slept for a pathetic 1hr after that. The camps rocked! Going off for orientation camp before school starts. And meeting up with loads of people before it's back to days of mugging and project work. Hmm.. but how un-happening can things get at smu anyway. =D So.. Have a great national day! Be patriotic like me and wear red and white later!! Mwahaha. |
