For your reading enjoyment

Wanna read something that will make your day? (In case of the event you are out searching for something to read that will positively ruin your day and make you miserable. Just thought I would clarify that seemingly circular statement, because it does happen some days that people (me being "people", so I'm assuming it may happen to you too) look for ways to feel miserable, so if this is one of those days this entry will not have maximum effectiveness. (Are you parenthesis overloaded yet???))  Check out this link the lovely, talented, very qualified, and soon-to-be member of the AAC (Arizona Accordion Club), Stacy Maynard showed me. This is a book written by an 8 year-old boy and it is adorable! Stacy and I agreed that our favorite part is the "tips" at the bottom of the pages.
  • Comb your hair and don't wear sweats.
  • Control your hyperness (cut down on the sugar if you have to)
  • Don't act desperate

"How To Talk To Girls"

***Post edit: I actually bought the book.  It was a great cliffhanger after the sampling here. It was very entertaining and I highly recommend it.***

C.S. Lewis

"This is one of the miracles of love: It gives a power of seeing through its own enchantments and yet not being disenchanted."

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.”

"Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point."

"Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important."

"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else "

“You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.”

“There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way.”

"If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair."

"Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither."

"The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is."

"It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad."

"What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step."

"We are what we believe we are."

"Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."
