Silly Andy!
Last night we took my weekly belly pictures and some of Andy with his baby girl. There is never a dull moment with Andy - he is always making me laugh! Infact, I was laughing so hard at these pics I had tears running down my face! Enjoy!

...still waiting
Today I am 41 weeks and Brynlee is still holding out. I decided to go ahead and start my maternity leave since sitting at my desk for 7-8 hours a day probably isn't helping jump start anything. Today is the first day of leave and it's been pretty productive so far... I've swept, mopped, dusted, did the dishes, hung up some pictures and decorations, looked up some crock pot recipes, watched a couple episodes of Ellen, and started cleaning the guest room... oh yes, and of course fit a nap in between all of that! I guess Brynlee needs to show up soon because at this rate I'm going to run out of things to do!
Also, I wanted to post a little bit about our beautiful niece and crazy nephew. We love spending time with Alyssa and Raymond and I am looking forward to Brynlee looking up to her wonderful cousins!
Us with Raymond after his basketball game just a couple of weeks ago...

With Alyssa after a soccer game a season (or two) ago. I realized I am really bad at getting pictures of the 3 of us together for a picture; I will have to get better at that!

Snow Day
Last Thursday morning we woke up to snow... not just the normal Dallas-snow but ACTUAL snow! Andy's school didn't get cancelled because according to him "they are the ONLY school that never closes!" I ended up "working" from home because we all know pregnant women can't drive in snow ;) I planned on having a fun day in the snow with the dogs but I quickly decided it was much better to relax inside and just watch the snow fall... the pups enjoyed watching the snow too!

When Andy got home from work we built a snowman, really Andy did but I pitched in a little bit...

Looks a little more sub-par than I remember it being!

And one of me and my baby pup...

I didn't know if the snow would still be there in the morning so I took a picture of our snow-capped house...

And this is what the woods behind our house looked like...

Both Andy and I had Friday off of work so we were able to continue with snow fun-tivities. Shooter tried to catch snow balls...

Andy made a snow angel...

Shooter tried to as well...

I have about a billion other pictures but won't bore you with all of them. Even though I enjoyed the change of weather and ways to amuse ourselves I am SO ready for some spring weather... I need some sun and 70-80 degree weather asap! I am not cut out for this extended cold weather mess!

Tummy Time
Well, the due date came and went without any exciting news :( so I had to come up with something else to blog about...
The other day I was putting together a memory book and started comparing my weekly tummy pictures. It's really fun to look back at the ones when I thought I was showing a lot and compare them to now... haha! I was so silly :)
Here is 19 weeks, when I thought I really started to show!

26 weeks, when I thought "there is no way I can get much bigger!"

And 38... now I know I can't get much bigger than this!

Brynlee's Room
I thought I would post some pictures of Brynlee's room. I finally finished decorating it a couple of weeks ago and love it... all we need is a baby to complete the room!
When you first walk into her room...

The crib and glider...

The dresser...

The book/toy shelf...

I have to give a HUGE shout-out to Andy! He was so paitient with me during the whole process... from picking out fabric and paint colors to finding the "perfect" furniture and the "perfect" decor. He is so good to me and I know he is going to be a great father! Thank you Andy!

Titan
The moment I decided I was going to move home after college I knew I wanted to get a puppy! I wanted a small dog that wasn't too high maintenance and I ended up running across a lady selling Maltese-ShihTzu mixed pups. I knew that would be the perfect dog for me, so on moving day I pulled into Lewisville with all of my stuff in tow and left shortly afterwards to go pick up my new puppy. Before I even saw him I decided that his name would be Titan. I'm not sure why I decided on it, but that's what I decided and I think it fits him perfectly! Here he is with me on our way home - he weighed 3 pounds!

His first day was fun-filled... we went to PetSmart to by some goodies! Of course he met Shooter on his first day. That was a little overwhelming for both Titan and I. I was afraid Shooter would eat him, try to pick him up like a toy, or even sit on him. Shooter was actually a great big brother and didn't do any of the above... just laid there and checked out the strange gerbil-looking thing!
Although the first couple of weeks were pretty rough with trying to train him, I eventually was able to settle into a good routine with him. At the time my dad worked out of the house and Titan enjoyed spending his days with Grandpa and Aunt Heather! Titan was a great traveling companion in our many trips back and forth to College Station to visit Andy (and Shooter). He loved being able to play with Shooter - it seemed like they could never get enough of each other. This was when they first met...

Once we all became a big happy family Titan was able to learn a few things from Shooter... like how to sit and get excited for walks. It's really funny when we feed the dogs because Titan will get excited about getting food but as soon as it is laid out he will walk over to Shooter and just watch him eat. He is convinced that Shooter's food is better (even though it is the same thing).
Titan is a great welcome committee when we come home. As soon as he hears the garage door open he will run over to the door to meet us! He is such a sweet little dog :) Here is Titan, 3 years after his "adoption" obviously really excited about Brynlee's box of diapers! Never mind the scraggly hair... he isn't much of a salon-type pup!

Shooter
I decided to dedicate an entire post to each of our precious "kids" before they are demoted to dogs!
Andy bought Shooter summer of 2006 in College Station. We went to the Puppy Store at the mall and he fell in love a calm black lab. Obviously Shooter knew how to work the system from the beginning because he was anything but calm once he got home! Although both Andy and I have shared many memories with Shooter here are a couple of my favorites....
When Shooter was just a small pup I was put in charge of caring for him while Andy went golfing one morning. Not long after Andy left I locked both me and Shooter out of the house... hot summer day, no shoes, no water, no phone, no car keys, nothing - just me and the new puppy stuck on the porch for hours until Andy came back!
Like most labs, Shooter enjoys chewing on various things like my black heels during my lunch break, Zach's DVDs, the couch cushion, really anything! The best was when Andy and I were in the living room watching tv and Shooter coming in with a small piece of the completely shredded car-map of Texas. He brought it to Andy and just handed him a piece of it as if he was saying "Here you go, I know I will be in trouble eventually... let's just get it over with it!"

Recently it always makes me laugh when Andy tries to get him to do tricks and Shooter just flops around because he is so excited! He really is a smart dog but sometimes he just can not contain all of his excitement! Sit, shake, stay, lay, dead... who wouldn't get all excited to perform such wonderful tricks :)
