2 Months!!

When I went to wake Brynlee up for her big day this is how I found her...

We had to take her wedge out of her crib since obviously she has started to move around (A LOT) in her sleep! To celebrate the BIG T-W-O months, Brynlee and I had a girls day out which included a trip to her favorite store, Target, then FedEx Office to print shower invitations for a friend (she didn't approve of that stop so we didn't stay long), and then Dimples Cupcakes to get a special birthday treat! The girl that works at Dimples is excited about being able to see how much Brynlee grows each month since we will be frequent visitors on/around the 27th of each month :) Here is Brynlee eyeing the cupcake!!

Just a little bit about our baby girl at 2 months...
  • holds her head up and loves to look around
  • gets really excited when she sees the fan - especially when it starts moving!
  • smiles at her hair bows while getting diapers and outfits changed
  • seems to be a morning person - she is full of smiles when we wake her up
  • still sleeping great! 7 1/2 hours at night - if she is on track at her 2 month appointment we may stretch it out a little bit more since we are waking her up at 6am
  • seems to like her crib (most of the time)
  • enjoys pulling my hair!
  • last but certainly not least... smiles and laughs at us when we do silly things! This just makes our day :)

A New Start

Yesterday I officially resigned my job at FUSION Performance Marketing. I met so many wonderful people and for the most part really enjoyed my time there but I am so happy that I don't have to go back! I am now a professional mom and have loved being able to spend so much precious time with Brynlee.

I did recently accept a (very) part-time job with our church (Preston Trail Community Church)as the Pre-School Assistant Director. The great thing is that I only have to work for a couple hours on Thursday morning and Saturday late afternoon... AND Brynlee can come up there with me!! It seemed like too good of a deal to pass up.

Other news, we celebrated Brynlee's 2 month birthday on Tuesday! I will post about that later :)

Grandpa & Nana

Brynlee spent the afternoon at Grandpa and Nana's. Here are some adorable pictures they got of her...

Just act like she doesn't have crazy hair going on in this one!

Oh, and thank you to April for the fabulous onesie! I love it :)

Bluebonnets

I have been researching for a week or two on where to find bluebonnets in the DFW area. Luckily, I heard there was a little hill in Frisco, pretty close to our house that is not just off of a major highway! So yesterday evening we dressed Brynlee up and headed out to take her first bluebonnet pictures...

...it feels good to be a gangsta ;)

Smile!

I was finally able to catch her smile on video! Isn't it just adorable?!? I think so :)

Harper

Brynlee had her first playdate yesterday. Baby Harper enjoyed looking at her and trying to play with her wrist rattles... Brynlee did a great job of sharing her pretty blanket with him. She may not look real excited in the picture, infact she looks like she is sleeping, but I'm pretty sure she loved spending time with baby Harper and his mom, Kari!

Happy Baby =

Happy Puppy!

Brynlee slept through the night for the first time last night which made for a very happy Titan this morning. It's not like Titan ever lost any sleep from Brynlee's middle of the night feeding, but he sure did act like a night of uninterrupted sleep makes a world of difference! As I was feeding Brynlee and Andy was cooking breakfast, Titan was running around the house playing with his Spiderman ball!

Speaking of Titan, he is at the salon right now getting a new hair-do. He sure needed it...

We are about to head out to the neighborhood Easter Celebration. I'm pretty sure we will skip on the Egg Hunt but I am really excited about getting Brynlee's picture taken with the Easter Bunny :)
