Well my new year started off a bit unusual. I quit my job, or the PC term 'resigned.' I decided not to pursue another nursing job. I continued my enrollment in the advanced Esthetics course. But more than anything I wanted to jump ship and take a trip...yet I didn't and haven't, nor will I...yet.
The week following my life change I met up with my parents in Florida for a week. We took a taxi tour in Ft. Lauderdale one day. We drove down to the Keys. It wasn't really a good time to head down there. Florida recently had a freeze and it killed thousands of fish...which lined the shores on either side of the beach. I saw a huge dead Baracuda. And the beaches weren't really all that great, in better times I might have wanted to go scuba diving. Cold water, and dead fish don't make for great diving conditions. We toured around Miami, and went on several walks. I had a nice week away from the cold weather and visit with my mom and pop.
