Valentines

I spent the eve and morning making chocolate wands and fruit kabobs for Cooper's class. They were a hit, and the Mom volunteers finished them off.
Trying to be festive we ate heart pancakes first thing.
On to class parties we went in the afternoon.  Uncle Aaron had 3rd grade dressing up in relays. Cooper thought it was so funny!
Savannah and her BFF Aubrey. Their party was yummy and fun and easy! I planned 6 parents to run their party so I could walk the halls with my babies.

Maddux traced letters on my phone.
Maggie was so good in her stroller.
RS had planned a Couples dinner and entertainment. The committee kind of fell apart and some drama made planning the event emotional. Becky Stahle came to my rescue and covered all the food. Set-up happened, a great show of 90 people came for dinner and we enjoyed watching 3 couples be interviewed in a Newly Wed Game. Spence and I were happy to be together with the kids at home with Bert and Judy.

In honor of the impending Ragnar I liked this picture. Maybe not entirely true for us, but still the story of my life right now :)

And then there was one.

In the clean up process after the big wind storm of December, the Scouts in our Ward decided they like chopping down trees! They volunteered to cut down our dying tree in the front. It was a bit sad as it was half of a pair and at least 40 years old.

We now have the beginnings of a good wood pile out back, some slices of the tree stump for the kids to hop along, and hopefully a healthier tree left standing.
I thought our kids would love the process but they really were not excited by it. Strange. It was cold out but I thought for sure they would want to sit and watch. I guess it wasn't that cool.
