Playdate with Emily

Adam and I went to see Katy and her daughter Emily today. Katy was holding Adam and I guess Emily got a little jealous so she jumped in her mom's arms too.

Adam liked playing in Emily's water table.

Buddies!!!

Adam was in the basement tonight and I guess he decided he wanted to go up to his room to go to sleep. Adam crawled over to the stairs and for the first time ever decided to climb and he climbed all the way up!

Florida

Sit back and relax. This is my longest entry every but after you take 176 pictures of your son's first trip to the beach and the first time your son meets your best friends son... it's hard to narrow it down.

Adam did very well on the plane ride to Florida and even better on the flight back. He also discovered a new favorite book to rival "Hello Bee, Hello Me." It's called "Baby's Peek-a-Boo Book." He was laughing so hard while Kevin read the book to him that people around us were watching him because it was so cute.

Henry and Adam finally met!!!! The Vaughan's picked us up from the airport. I was so excited for Henry and Adam to meet. Summer and I have been friends since birth so Summer and I hope Adam and Henry build a wonderful friendship too.

"What are we doing Mommy and Daddy?"

"Oh we are taking a picture... OK Smile!" This picture was taken at the condo over the pond. We have gone to Florida for the past 4 years thanks for Kevin grandparents. Thank you to Grandma for letting us go again this year. We had such a wonderful time.

Riding on Daddy's shoulders, is there anything better?

Me and my baby boy!

Adam loved the coffee table in the condo. It was the perfect height and he would crawl over to it and pull himself up over and over and over again.

Checking out the swans. Adam was very interested in watching the seagulls and swans and other birds around the beach.

4 years and still going strong (well... eight years if you count all that dating stuff we did!)

Behind us is the view we woke up to every morning, not too shabby.

Funny story. Last year we were walking around Siesta Key and we ran into Dick Vitale and his wife. This year we were walking around St. Armans Circle and who do we run into... Dick Vitale! He couldn't talk because he just had throat surgery so his wife did all the talking and when we parted she said, "maybe we will see you next year!"

Adam took many naps in Florida. He slept at the pool and the beach. Here he is on the beach sleeping on his daddy's chest.

Thanks for the great nap dad! Now let's play!

Adam loved the sand. It was fun to watch him explore it.
I buried his feet in the sand. He loved it.

Summer and Adam!

The boys hanging out. Oh my goodness... they are both looking at the camera.

Hey Adam let's go play, stop playing with the seaweed.

Adam in front of the condo. His cousins, Meghan and Sarah, have the same picture.

Feet in the water.

Look at the sweet Vaughan family!

Kevin showing Adam the ocean the first night we were there.

I love the sand! This is great! I hope Adam always enjoys simple pleasures like this.

Adam and Daddy!

Mommies and sons! Henry is holding Adam's hand, how cute.

Photo Session

Summer gave Adam his first piece of apple to suck on. He loved it!

Oh Shucks, it sure it nice to have breakfast over looking the water. What a lucky boy I am!

Getting ice cream at Big Olaf's.

Let's play!

Adam brought his plastic cookies to Florida. When I bought them I never imagined Adam would love them so much. He shared them with Henry.

Henry was caught later enjoy 3 of them all at the same time.

That's okay though because Adam kept eating Henry's truck.

Some day Henry I am going to be big like you!

Kevin and Gary had their own toys!

Is that a frog in the sand... oh no it's just Adam.

This is a movie of Adam's first time in the sand.

Playing on the beach.

So now we are back home. This vacation was different for us. It was the first time we really felt like our life has changed since having Adam. Usually on vacation it all about what WE want to do. We can go to dinner late, stay later on the beach, go up to the condo whenever we want to. With Adam it was all about HIM and when he needed to nap and eat. Kevin and I would take turns. I would be up in the condo with Adam and he would rest on the beach and vice-versa. We are so blessed to be able to take this vacation as a family, to visit with good friends and to introduce Adam to so many new experiences.

Happy Birthday Uncle Gary

Before we left for Florida we went to Uncle Gary's surprise birthday party. Adam got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Perlin as well as the many other family members.

The Past Week

We went to Great Lakes Crossing and met Joey and Billie for lunch and we played in the play area. Adam was playing on a giant watermelon.

Joey kept leaning over in his stroller and trying to make Adam laugh. It was cute.

Usually Adam bangs on his tray with his right hand every time we feed him. This morning he decided to hold his hands like this this. He was like a proper young man. It was very cute.

Adam loves to crawl, sit up and smile. Then he keeps crawling. What a cutie!

Last Friday we went to see Brad Paisley at DTE. I was excited to be outside for a concert. My brother Dave and Karen babysat for us and they did a great job. It was the first time someone besides Kevin and I had put Adam to bed.

We had a great time!

Kevin got all excited when this sign came up at the concert during the song "Alcohol."

The concert was great except that this was our view the whole night.
We couldn't stop laughing at this guy. He was in this position the whole night.

Adam went over to visit my mom who is recovering from knee surgery. She is doing fine and things are coming along slowly but her knee is getting better little by little. I have a very similar picture of myself when I was a baby at my parents house just like the one below. You can see the light reflecting off some of the hair that Adam has on top of his head... I swear it's there.

That is it for now. We are off to Florida Saturday morning to meet the Vaughans. I am very excited for Henry and Adam to meet and play on the beach together.
I am sure there will be a lot of pictures!!!
