Gobble, Gobble!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. Kevin, Adam and I have so many things to be thankful for. We have a wonderful family and wonderful friends. We are all healthy and we have a wonderful home. Who could ask for anything more.

Christmas a Little Early

Hey mom I got a letter from Auntie Summer, Uncle Gary and Henry! I don't know what it says but it tastes GREAT!

Look at the cute stuff they got me for Christmas. I can't wait to snuggle up in my cozy clothes and read the book. Thank you so much Vaughans!

This hat is nice and warm.

Walkers are for the Young and Old

We went to the hospital to visit my mom today. Her knee replacement surgery went very well. So now she has two new knees! Adam loved visiting her because she has a BIG walker just like his little one at home. He kept pushing it all over her room.

We also went to the doctor's to make sure Adam was okay. He has just not seemed like himself the past week and he has been congested. Dr. Chung said that there is nothing wrong with him, no strep throat or ear infection so I feel better now, just a cold. Adam got weighed when he was there. He is up to 22 pounds. 2 more pounds until he has tripled his birth weight! Adam went online today and made a wish list through Toys R Us for his birthday. He sure is excited about it! He also finished his invitations for his birthday party. He is going to have a kiddie party the morning of his birthday and then we are going to have a small party with the Perlins and Arends at our house in the evening. It should be fun. The theme is monkeys, since he is our little monkey!

All Smiles

I love this picture of my little man.

Adam's First Pair of Kicks

We took a family trip to the mall to buy Adam his first pair of shoes. We went to the Stride Rite Outlet at Great Lakes Crossing. Adam's foot is a size 4 wide. After much deliberation we settled on a pair and Adam wore them out of the store.

"WOW! Look at these shoes!"

Ready for a nap after all that shopping.

Here they are! I hope he doesn't grow out of them too fast.

Still Jumping

Adam still loves his jump-a-roo, especially when his daddy plays with him while he is in it. He also likes to stand on the outside of it and shake it like crazy.

Saturday

Today I went out to lunch with my mommy and Grandma Shirley.
We ate in a rainforest. It was amazing! I loved the tanks full of beautiful fish. Seeing the fish reminded me of one of my favorite books Swish, Swish Hawaiian Fish from Uncle Rob and Aunt Jill.

I got a cookie after dinner tonight. I only get cookies on bath nights, can you guess why?
I also got to play outside today since it was so nice and I discovered the rock beds in front of my house. Those rocks were GREAT. I can throw them, try to eat them and hit them together. I also got 2 new teeth up top so that make 6 teeth on top and only 2 little ones on the bottom. I tried pineapple and eggplant this past week and I enjoyed them both. I get to try sugar snap peas and cantaloupe this week.

First Steps

Adam starting taking his first steps last week. He doesn't walk to Mommy or Daddy but to his walker toy. It is so fun to watch him learn and grow.

Happy Halloween!

Adam's 1st Halloween!

Adam celebrated his first Halloween yesterday and although we were probably more excited than he was, I think he had a fun time. We had a little party over our house and I had fun making some Halloween treats.

Pumpkin Cake

Eyeball Eggs

Batty Cheese

Pumpkin and Ghost Jell-O

This is Adam's treat bag from Grandma and Grandpa Perlin.

It even had his name on it!

Adam had a nice healthy dinner.

Then he put on his costume, he was the cutest little monkey.

"Come on Aunt Jill! Let's go!"

Our nephew Joey came over to trick or treat with Adam.

Daddy and Adam ready to go.

Joey looked so cute!

Adam's first official piece of Halloween candy! As you can tell he is overjoyed!

Me and my little monkey.

Adam's grandma's were both there. They stayed to hand out candy.

Adam tring to break into the Skittles.

Kevin taught Adam how to sort his candy.

Then Adam tried to do it himself.

Then he put all his candy back in his bag. What a good little monkey!

Then it was time to put on the Halloween PJs and play with Grandma and Grandpa Perlin, Uncle Danny, Aunt Jill and Uncle Rob, Uncle Dave, Uncle Joe, Auntie Billie, Joey, Grandma Shirley, Mom and Dad. Adam got to stay up an hour past his bedtime!!! It was a fun day. I can't wait until next Halloween. He and Joey will be running all over the place.
