5 Year Anniversary

Friday was our 5 year anniversary. Kevin told me he made plans for us but that was it. Then he finally broke down a week before our date and told me we were spending the night somewhere. He was concerned I would be upset if I didn't know since it would be my first night away from Adam. So we dropped Adam off at Grandma and Grandpa Perlin's house and off we went. I was excited when we parked in front of the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. We walked into our room and there were rose petals on the bed and throughout the bathroom.

Then they brought the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. The strawberries were AMAZING!!!!

Then we had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was YUMMY. I highly reccommend the seafood sampler for an appetizer and bananas foster for dessert. They bring a grilling station to your table to make the bananas foster in front of you. It was wonderful!

We got robes and slippers to lounge around in :)

I love Kevin in his slippers. We filled out a breakfast request and put it on our door knob. You just check off what you want and what time you want it.

It came the next morning. It was wonderful too. Yes, there are three plates.
One for me and two for Kevin. I love eggs benedict! By the way, I don't know if you can see it but that little glass of apple juice on the table was $3 and the little glass of grapefruit juice was $4...really!

It was just such a nice anniversary celebration with Kevin. He did such a good job. When he told me he made plans, I just thought we were going out to dinner. He really impressed me. It was nice to spend time away from Adam and just enjoy time with my husband. Here is to five fun filled years and many more to come! I love you Kevin!

The Past Month in a Nutshell

Kevin and Adam did manly things over Father's Day weekend, like wash the car.

Kevin turned 31!

Joey turned 3!

Adam didn't know what to make of Daddy's key lime pie with rainbow sprinkles, gummy bears and Spiderman (all of Kevin's favorite things.)

Adam liked the desserts!

Joey showed Adam how to use the hose.

Adam's new favorite thing is to drive the car. Kevin and I like to think that he is excited to see us when we get home but we know that it is really because the car is home.

He loves to touch all the buttons and knobs. He loves to play with the radio and rock out!

We had some guests at our house... CHICKS! Adam was interested in them from a distance but did not like them close up.

Mary turned 30!

Adam played in a box

Adam played in his water table.

Kevin and I stained the deck.

We went to the park by our house. Adam drove a truck.

Tried to take over a pirate ship!

Caught a train.

Walked up some ramps.

Went down a slide

And went home with this boo-boo on his head. Poor Adam!

The Hoogewinds came over to play. Jonah and Adam had fun together at the water table.

And pulling and pushing stuff

And in the sand table

Adam met Peyton and he was so sweet. He wanted to kiss her but couldn't figure out how to get to her. He was so sweet and gentle. It melted my heart.

Adam starting to pull his own weight around here.

End of School

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. The end of school is drawing near and I have been busy, busy, busy. My last day is Thursday with the kids and then I will officially be done after next Monday! I am very excited to spend the summer with my little man!
