It was pretty nice this afternoon so we went outside!
Katelyn was so cute in her little bear outfit from Grandma Shirley!

Of course I had to take pictures of Adam too!

Adam loves his little sister. Katelyn is becoming very interested in Adam too. She likes to watch him. Adam goes to daycare tomorrow for the first time since January. I wonder how he will do without his sister and mommy.

Adam is really into trains right now. He LOVES the show Chuggington on The Disney Channel. He made his own train today.

Everyone's on Board

Oh NO!!! There was some kind of an accident!

Scout got hurt! Adam hugged him and everything was ok!

I took Katelyn to her 2 month check-up today. She weighs 11 pounds and 1 ounce. She is 22 inches long. She is the 50th percentile for her height, weight and head. She is doing well. She got 2 shots and screamed her head off!
I am still trying to figure her out but she is doing well. She is gaining weight obviously so that is always the most important thing!

She eats every 3 1/2 hours.
She sleeps well all day until we get to about 6:00pm, then she's not sure what she wants. Does she want to sleep or stay awake or cry. That lasts until 8:00pm when she gets her next feeding so 6-8 would be her fussiest time.
At night, I feed her at 8:00pm and then put her to sleep. I wake her up at 11:00pm to give her another feeding and then she sleeps to about 6:30am.

She is a pretty good baby. She is definitely not as laid back as Adam was at this age but everyday she becomes a little more laid back and "with the program."
She seems to have sensitive skin so far.
It seems to break out if she rubs against my sweater or arms after I feed her.
She is much more into listening to your voice and watching your face than looking at objects like rattles. She loves to suck on her hands and thumb and she is able to soothe herself back to sleep with her thumb if she wakes up during a nap.

Adam is still being a great big brother.
He actually is very protective of Katelyn and always very concerned about her. He is sweet and has been a huge source of entertainment while I am on maternity leave. I have two more weeks at home. I go back this Friday for a 1/2 day and then I have a week off for spring break. So April 11th will be my first REAL day back. I am really going to miss being at home.

Finally... a smile!

Adam is in spring training right now.

He took off his pants and diaper! I was laughing so hard! What was he thinking! Thank goodness he didn't poop and pee everywhere, that would have been a fun clean up!

I got a new book for Adam called The Tickle Monster. It is very cute and the best part is when Adam asks for the book before bed. I love how he says "Tickle Monster." He loves for Mommy to be the Tickle Monster and Daddy to read the book. I get to wear the gloves.

Adam put the gloves on when we were done to tickle Daddy.

Oh Katelyn!!!

Facial hair at age 2? No... Adam just got into my mascara today. I had no idea he had such developed fine motor skills to twist open the cap. He always wants to shave with Daddy... maybe he wants to show Kevin that he really does need to.

Adam loves to help put the groceries away. I am always amazed how good he is at putting things in the right place. At the same time... sometimes we find things in places that they shouldn't. Like cereal in the freezer. Canned food in the fridge. I know I had crescent rolls in the my cart at the store. But I can't find them so they are either still at the store or somewhere in my house compliments of Adam.

Congrats to Tom and Alli. Little Hank arrived today, 6 pounds and 15 ounces.
Adam and Katelyn can't wait to meet their new little cousin.

Adam was hard at work in the basement tonight.

He had his assistant working overtime.

Afterward Adam made a pizza dinner for everyone. Adam is very funny about the plates and cups. He ALWAYS has the blue one because when he sits at his little table he always sits in the blue chair. I always get the red plate and cup because he always has me sit in the red chair. The yellow and green plates are a toss up and are welcome for guests.

Katelyn got to hang out with Daddy and Uncle Kenny last night! What a lucky girl.

We went to Rochester Play today and met Kevin's mom. Adam had fun doing this...

She sure was exhausted from all that sleeping.

This is hard... Maybe I will just push it around the driveway.

Daddy had a hard time riding it too.

So Adam is very interested in how I take care of Katelyn. He is always watching me. He is my little assistant and he is always ready to lend me a hand. The first time he saw me feed Katelyn he pointed to me and said, "APPLES." Now whenever I tell him I am going to feed Katelyn he yells, "Apple Time!" The other day he was playing with his stuffed animals and he held them to his chest like he was nursing them. He also burps his stuffed animals when he is laying in bed with them. Tonight I was on the computer and Katelyn started crying so Adam stepped up and offered her his "apples." It was so funny!

I think a leprechaun got in the house this morning because there is no way my sweet little Adam dumped all the books off his bookshelf.

II found a little leprechaun walking around the house.

He was playing golf around the house too.
Adam was so excited to play outside today in the grass.
