Playing at Home in our PJs

TUNNEL OF BALLS!!!!!

Watching Football

Katelyn is 8 Months Old!

Well... time is flying! I can't believe Katelyn is 8 months old already. Before I know it she is going to be a year old. Nothing much new with Miss Kate right now. She is still army crawling around. She hasn't quite gotten the hang of crawling on her knees yet but she tried. She loves her brother and she does well with other people taking care of her as long as I am not in the room. She is a great eater and enjoys eating especially puffs! We go through ALOT of Puffs! I had some extra Born Free Pacifiers from when Adam was a baby so I thought I would have Katelyn use them. Well, I need to buy her some new ones since the old ones have fallen apart. I have come to find out that Born Free does not make pacifiers anymore and Katelyn does not want any other pacifier than the one she has got so that should be interesting.

Thanks for the outfit Uncle Larry and Aunt Sue!
Thanks for the pretty dress Stief Family

Ideas.. Ideas... Ideas

This may look like a truck sitting on a step but it is really a truck in time-out! Apparently, the truck was kicking Adam's shoes so he got put in time-out today. He also tried to put Katelyn in time-out today. He even gave her the count down, "1... 2... 3...!"

From the time he was born, Adam has always had a plan. You could see him thinking how he was going to carry his different ideas out. I love to watch him play! I couldn't figure out what to do with the BUMBO since Katelyn is not using it anymore... well Adam helped me figure it out. It makes a great car carrier. He was carrying his cars around all morning in this thing.

Kindergarten Teachers

I really love the kindergarten teachers that I work with. I know that not everyone can say that they love the people that they work with but I can. We have so much fun together! We had Bobcat pride day at our school on Friday. We had a pep assembly with the Varsity cheerleaders. The kids had fun. The grade level teachers play games against each other so of course we have to have uniforms! One of my teaching buddies is out on maternity leave and we also have a student teacher in the picture.

Hanging Out at Home

Bathtime is fun when you have someone to play with.

Look who is starting to pull up! She just pulls up to her knees right now. I love coming in her room and seeing her peeking over the side. Too bad I have to move her crib down now.

Last week was crazy hair day at my school so I wore this wig. I think Adam looks much better in it!

Adam's First Swimming Lessons

Adam had his first swimming lesson yesterday. We went to the highschool which is right behind our house. His class has 5 little kids in it. Adam is the youngest. I was very proud of him. He did a good job. He got in the pool and had to "spider crawl" over to the other kids.

The rest of the time he pretty much just watched the other kids and teacher. He stayed right next to them and just kept on eye on everything.

Adam really liked his teacher Miss Kayleigh.
Adam was talking about her when we were driving home.

Adam loved when they got "stuff." He got this dumbbell thing and he loved it. He swam on it with his teacher.

Happy BIrthday Jill

Last Sunday we celebrated Jill's birthday.

Katelyn was very excited! I think it is so funny how she has a little crooked smile every time she smiles BIG. I wonder if it will stay that way or if it will change.

Adam helped his Godmother blow out her candles.

Yummy cake!

MSU Game with the Kids

We took the kids to the MSU game today. We had a nice time!

We tailgated right next to this willow tree. Adam loved it. He could run all around the branches and swing from them. They were wet and he loved that.

We thought he had a leaf on his shirt but it was this leaf bug. I had never seen one before. He was very interesting.

Bags with Aunt Jill

Katelyn and Grandma Perlin

Uncle Mark's Homemade Corn Dogs..... YUMMY!

Adam loves to tailgate. He gets to eat whenever he wants to and whatever he wants to because food is laying out the whole time. He can also run around like a crazy man, play with other kids and see his family. Katelyn had a good time too.

On the way to the game.

Katelyn's 1st Game and Adam 3rd.

Adam was very serious when we first got there he had to take it all in and check everything out. Then he loosened up and joined in on the GO GREEN chant. He watched the whole 1st quarter. During the middle of the second quarter he started to get tired. He put his head on my shoulder and lap. The game was during his nap time. He liked the marching band at half time and we left around the middle of the third. Katelyn was wonderful during the game. She was happy and she took a nap during the second quarter. She was ready to go when we left.

"Oh Daddy!!! Thanks for taking me to the game!"

"I LOVE YOU!"

"Daddy let's go home... I'm tired!"

Being a Good Brother

So Adam loves his sister but he has a hard time sharing his toys sometimes. It was really sweet the other day, he laid Kate's blanket out for her and then brought all of her toys over for her to play with.... so he does have his good moments!
