Katelyn Turns 3
Katelyn loves Daniel Tigers Neighborhood on PBS. I made her Daniel Tiger cookies to take to her First Families class that she attends on Wednesdays with Aunt Mary. As I was decorating them she said, "Thank you so much Mommy for decorating these cookies for me."
On Friday, her "real birthday", Grandma Perlin watched her while we were at work, they made cinnamon rolls for breakfast just like Kevin use to do when he was a kid. Then we had steak and noodles for dinner which is her favorite (as known as beet stroganoff). We got cupcakes from Just Baked. KAtelyn picked out an Oreo cupcake.
Then she got to open her gifts from us!
The next day we had the family over to celebrate!
Katelyn was just in love with Colin. She kept kissing him and hugging him and following him around. She loves that Colin can walk now!
"Mommy I love my decorations!"
Showing everyone her baby book.
Nervous when everyone started to sing to her. She is just like her mother. I hid under the table when people would sing to me on my birthday.
Our little family!
Yummy!
Katelyn wanted to eat the Minnie Mouse hat on her cake.
Present Time! Katelyn got so many wonderful presents. She is such a lucky girl! I think she has already played with everything!
The guests!
Aunt Kristin, Uncle David and Colin (new Baby Perlin to Debut in March)
Grandma Shirley and Papa Joe
Uncle Dave and Aunt Karen
Aunt Billie, Uncle Joe and Joey
Aunt Mary
Aunt Jill and Uncle Rob (new baby to debut in May)
Grandpa and Grandma Perlin! MSU played U of M in basketball so this was the best pick I could get after MSU lost.
I got a much better picture of Grandma and Katelyn though.
Uncle Kenny Katelyn's Godfather.
Uncle Dan and Kate
Katelyn and Stella! She sure loves that baby doll. Katelyn got a highchair for her birthday so Stella can sit with us at meals now.
Katelyn had such a wonderful birthday weekend. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it special! It meant a lot to Katelyn and Kevin and me.

The kids have been wanting to build. A snowman since winter came but we haven't had good snowman snow. Finally some came!

Hold on to your seatbelts
I know it has been a while since I last updated the blog. We have been busy. So here it is... 2 months worth! Snow days help me catch up! Enjoy!
Snow, Snow and More Snow
I have lived in Michigan my whole life and I can't remember when I had this much fun in the snow. I don't ski and I remember sledding with my friend Heidi at her house once and laughing so hard. But it is amazing how much your children bring out the child in yourself. It started snowing Sunday and we were ready, we had no where to go and just planned on staying at home all day. It never stopped. The best thing is... it was warm and there was no wind, so we could play all day if we wanted and we did!

Just little bit of shoveling
Adam's friend Joseph came over and they played a little bit.
Then we made snow tunnels. I think Kevin and I were just as excited as the kids. One tunnel had three different entrances.

Katelyn is so little she could almost walk right in.
Then we made some snow ice cream!
Yeah.... we got just a little bit of snow. The problem now is that it is cold -36 outside. I haven't left my house since Saturday morning and today is Tuesday, so that is what I hear. Adam wants to play outside in the snow. He doesn't understand that it is too cold. School has been canceled the past 2 days.
