Guest Designer Friday

Her Craftiness

I chose sailing and to highlight one of the many cruises my husband and I have been on in the past few years.

I used the Cricut Cartridge Pack Your Bags for all of the components of this layout. I created the ship, and decided to add the whale watching element as well.

On one of the cruises we went on, we went whale watching. We boarded a small rubber raft (about a dozen of us) and went about 10-15 miles off the coast to see if we could find the huge mammals. So, this was the inspiration to this single page layout and then will add more to the second page too.

We were lucky enough to see some great whales break the surface the ocean, and we even were lucky enough to see a momma training her calf.

Thank you so much Lynne for allowing me to be your Guest Designer today. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop and visit my page.  Please feel free to comment and let me know what you think.

Claire Chenoy Spielman is My Wonderful Wednesday Guest Designer

I am ever sew fortunate to have Claire as my Guest Designer for today. Now, bear in mind, that Claire has not been feeling well and I truly am honored and blessed for her posting today!!! Also, please please please, take the time to read her story as it is truly an inspiration!

All American
I'm delighted to once again be featured as a Guest Designer for my sweet blogger friend Lynne. I decided since this was an important assignment, I wanted to create a page that was important to me as well.
I was born in Canada and only up until the last election, did I have the opportunity to VOTE in the election since I applied for my United States Citizenship and became American after approximately 35 years in Florida.
I studied page after page of American history and passed the famous test so that I could get my US passport and do what I always wanted to do in this country.........
V O T E !!
For most of you reading this, it's no big deal, but as an adult citizen, it was something I always wanted to do! Beside, it was something else I could check off my Bucket List!!
So, here is the 2 page lay out I created to celebrate my US citizenship. I used paper and embellishments from Quick Quotes and the paper is called Just Jackson. Simply Charmed was the cart I used to cut out the "All American". The corners were punched using a MS corner punch...I love that punch!

My official Passport
My Old Canadian Passport
Actual sticker from the day I voted

HUGE  THANKS to my sweet blogger  friend Lynne, for asking me to be a Guest Designer today....what an honor!
LOVE being able to work with Lynne and her
talented , artistic, fun, caring and supportive  group each month....it keeps this ALL American girl CREATIVE!

Thank you ever sew much for being my Guest Designer for today Claire . I am truly impressed with not only your creativity but of your story!!

God Bless and thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to stop and give Claire some bloggie love and get well wishes!!!

Pamela would like to tell you a little bit about herself:
I've been Stamping for about 16 years. Stampin’ and Altering items are my passion. I just started paper piecing and I love it. I love it so much, that I went out and purchased a Cameo and Cricut!! I really enjoy Lynne's Blog Hops. They keep me motivated to get into my office and create. I've been a stay at home mom for almost 18 years. I have 3 beautiful, talented children. Guest Designer: Susan of Susana's Scrappin' Corner

Warning, warning. This blog has just been hijacked by Susan herself <LOL>. Lynne has been quite under the weather so I am posting this for her. Let's all give her well wishes that she feels better soon and is back to her ole crafty self. Here is my posting for today:

Hi all... I get to be Guest Designer on my own blog today as well as my dear friend (aka Mammy) Lynne's blog; Her Craftiness. I was recently at an all day crop with my Creative Memories friends and got to teach a class on the Border Maker System. I had some time to make some cards for a friend too. Since March is a special month for me and then we have Easter coming up, I decided to make some birthday cards to share and an Easter card to share also.  Here is what I made:

These two I used a sketch from Cardmaker magazine.

This one I came up with on my own.

Speaking on Creative Memories and one of my favorite holiday (St. Patrick's Day), Creative Memories has a sale going on from March 14th-20th. Place an order for $75* in Creative Memories products and you’ll qualify to purchase this exclusive 8x8 Love & Life Album (coverset and white pages) for just $18 ($30 value). This option will appear in your shopping bag once your order reaches $75. But it’s only available when you place your qualifying order between March 14 and 20.

* The Love & Life Album does not count toward the $75 order requirement.

I so want this album for myself and am sure that there are others too. You can stop by my site HERE and see what amazing things there are for you. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thanks Lynne for having me as Guest Designer today and I pray that you get better soon. Until next time....

Guest Designer Wednesday - Janet Smith

I have the most wonderous Guest Designer here today – Janet of http://www.ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/. She has made this most fabulous card and you will need to go and give her some bloggie love and find out just how she made this phenomenal card. Again, I can only say that I have the most wonderful group of talented friends and for this I am thankful!!!

Now, let me show off this beautious card!!!!

My Guest Designer Project is a card I created for my Dear Sweet Daughter's 30 something Birthday.

I can't take credit for the idea though. I got it from a sweet Blogger friend Laurie (one of my first and the ones who inspired me to get into the blog world) at http://serenityscrappers.blogspot.com/2012/01/fun-birthday-card.html

My daughter is a shoe freak she has so many she needs a closet for her shoes alone ( I exaggerate a little LOL) so I decided to use that as the image on her card.

The base is a standard 4.25 x 5.5 white card.
The next layer is black  Recollection card stock at 4 x 5.25
On top of that I put a piece of black and White patterned paper  3.75 x 5 from atd called "heart flourish" Love this paper.

The Shoe was cut on my E2 cricut at 3.5 inches the image is from one of the cartridges loaded on the E2 I used all 4 layers black for the shadow silver for the full shoe pink glitter paper for the next layer and the red on the top layer.

A piece of white ribbon that I hand folded and glued at the bottom with a few silver beads. The Birthday sentiment is from "My Creative Time" along with the mat shape.

Inside I used a couple stamps:  the daughter is from my vast collection of un-named acrylic stamps the sentiment is from K Andrews Design Stamps "Fashionable Friends" I decorated the inside to coordinate with the outside. I love how this looks and so did she!!

Thank you Lynne for giving me a chance to showcase one of my favorite cards . Hope you all enjoy my card.

Thank you Janet for being my Guest Designer and  I'm loving this card and your daughter is very very lucky to receive this card made with such love!!!

Again, thank you Janet for being my Guest Designer today and be sure to give some bloggie love and express my thanks to Janet....

God Bless and thank you my bloggie family!

Guest Designer Sunday -- Edwina Brown

Today’s fabulously creative designer is Edwina Brown of http://edwinascreations.blogspot.com/. I had posted a challenge on my Guest Designers and Edwina took the plunge and this is her interpretation of:

Raise your right hand and repeat after me:

12 STEP PROGRAM FOR SCRAPBOOKERS (use only if needed!!!!)
1. I do not need any more paper!
2. I do not need any more buttons and brads!
3. I do not need any more stickles!
4. I cannot get into stamping!
5. I must not buy another magazine!
6. I cannot look for supplies on the Internet...too tempting!
7. I cannot accidentally find myself at Michaels or Hobby Lobby!
8. I must use the paper I HAVE!
9. I will join as many swaps as possible to use up my supplies and get different supplies for…FREE!
10. I cannot sign up for anymore classes because I will accidentally find myself in a store with lots and lots of scrapbook supplies that I don't need!
11. I swear I really will get ALL my photos organized!
12. Most importantly, I must NOT think of myself as a scrapbook supply collector!! I'm a user, NOT a collector!!

I used Arches watercolor paper 120 lb. as the background. I had some Scrapbooking items I had just finished using and other items related to Scrapbooking that I deco podged onto the watercolor paper using Mod Podge. I tried to include something for every item on the list. The only thing not included is my right hand and my signature. That is one oath I am not willing to keep. I love creating cards and scrapbook pages  too much. This was a really fun project. Give it a try and see what you create with the 12 Step Program For Scrapbookers.

Thanks ever sew much Edwina for taking the challenge …. Check out your mailbox for a little something!!!!! Be sure to stop over and visit Edwina and give her some bloggie love!!!!! And as always I love my Guest Designers!!!!

God Bless you and thank you

Guest Designer - Susan Bermudez

I have the fabulous Susan of Susan's Scrappin' Corner as my Guest Designer today and let me tell you she is a magician as you will see by her project . . . .

Greetings all and I am way too excited to be a Guest Designer on Her Craftiness' blog today. I just had to share my scrapbook page that I made to commemorate my upcoming date night with hubby. We will be married for 7 years and share 4 children. We decided it was time to start taking a date night once a month. Well, this is what I started with:

Can you see it? Well, that is because it was a blank 12 x 12 piece of scrapbook paper! We were given some Stampin' Up inks, Versamark and silver embossing powder and a color spritzer tool. I also used the butterfly punch and adhesive rhinestones. Here is the result:

I am definitely going to be doing this more often as I love the look. Thanks to Lynne for having me as a Guest Designer today.

Isn't that amazing --- I told you she was a magician!!!!  It contains the basic "food groups" glitz and butterflies - what more could you ask for! Thanks Susan for being my phenomenal Guest Designer today . . . be sure to stop on over and give her some bloggie love!!!!

Guest Designer Tuesday -Laura Davidson

I want to thank my friends for helping out this week as I’m a little under the weather and trying to take it easy as much as I can to try and get over this junk!!!!  Today, I have the very talented Laura Davidson of making a beautiful card complete with instructions for which I am very very grateful and will most definitely be trying and hope you will be also!!!

RECIPE:
Cut cardstock 5 1/2 by 11.
Score cardstock at 1inch and 6 1/2 inches.
1 inch in from the edge cut between the 1" line and the 6 1/2" line.
Score at 2" but only on the outside of the cuts.
Score again at 5 1/2" but on the inside of the cut..

I found it easier to do the 1"score and 61/2"score then cut
then do the remaining scores.
The 1inch is a mountain fold.. two inch is valley fold..
both 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 inches are mountain folds...

Decorate ....
I used paper from Up The Street..
Its double sided paper and I used both sides.

Present is cut using imagine and Yummy.
Celebrate and flourishes done with Tie the Knot.

I hope I explained this good enough for everyone to follow..
Thanks again Lynne...

No, I thank you Laura for showing us how to make this beautiful card!!!! As always, a pleasure showcasing your talents and I thank you my friend!!!! Now, you know why I had to have Laura show you her card --- its beautiful and amazing!!!!! Be sure to stop over and give Laura some bloggie love!!!!

God bless you and thank you for stopping by…

Guest Designer Monday - Kimberly Pate

I have wonderful friends --- I'm feeling under the weather sew to speak and my wonderful friends are filling in the gap and showcasing how talented they are!!!!! Today, I have the very talented friend, Kimberly of KP Kre8tions. She is sew wonderfully talented, you need to go and check out her blog for other projects!!!!

Today I am honored to be a guest designer for Her Craftiness. And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, and I wanted to make a sexy, shiny red high heeled candy holder.  I found a very helpful tutorial on line and set out to create.  I am a pearls and blue jeans kind of gal, so I added pearls to my candy shoe up the back seam, and around the toe.

I am really beginning to step out of my comfort zone with my crafting, and while this design was not hard by any means, it is a far cry from the simplistic cards and layouts that I normally create.

There are a few things I will do differently when I make my next shoe, but really, isn’t that what crafting is all about? Learning from your mistakes and turning them around into improved projects? I am still learning how to use the glue gun so I do not make such a mess with my glue.  You can see a few traces of my mistakes on the shine of the shoe.

I hope you like my shoe, I know I do, (even in its simplistic nature).  Thanks for stopping by today, and feel free to leave me comments.

Thanks Kimberly for being my fabulous Guest Designer --- I'm more of sweats or leggins type gal with over-sized shirts ... but I just may have to add a string of pearls to my ensemble now sew I be stylin'!!!!! Now, don't forget to stop on over and give Kimberly some bloggie love!!!!

God Bless you and Thank you for Stopping by
