I've got that "I've got too much to blog about, so I won't blog anything" problem!!! I put together some collages a while back and never blogged them, so I'll just quickly post what I have.
I mentioned that Jeff had a birthday and celebrated Father's Day during the weekend of the Wasatch Back...here are the only pictures I took! I know we gave him gifts, but all I remember was that I was jealous that he was taking a nap!
We had a lovely 4th of July weekend with family and friends, BBQ's, a bike parade, and fireworks with the best group of people on good ol' Grandview Circle!
On the 9th, after Jeff took his Anatomy mid-term down at BYU, we enjoyed a relaxing weekend camping in Warm River, Idaho. It was especially nice for Jeff to have a break from all of his work and school stuff! The kids had a blast floating, playing in the water, eating smores, and playing with cousins! We even had a special visit from Smokey the Bear this year with a follow up lesson on bear safety! Kyle keeps asking when I'm going to buy bear spray! Maybe next year!
We had a quick visit from my sister Diane and four of her darling kids during the middle of the month! Tons O' Fun!
On Friday the 16th my sweet Kyle ended up in the emergency room at Primary Children's. He slipped on a baby blanket and cut his face on our dining room bench. His teeth must've bonked the inside of his mouth as well, because the cut ended up going all the way through! They had to call in a Plastic Surgeon. 6+ hours later he had 7 stitches on the outside, 2 in the corner, and 8 or so inside. He has healed nicely and was such a brave boy through all of it! Jeff removed his stitches the following week and everything looks great! Our friend Katy was so awesome to watch Chad and Alison the entire time we were gone, and all of our neighbors welcomed Kyle home with an awesome banner telling him to "get well!" He was spoiled with smoothies and games and treats! He felt the love!
We've had a pretty low key summer with Jeff being busy with school! We've enjoyed some random BBQ's, bike rides, picnics up the canyon, and any other get-togethers that fit Jeff's schedule! We love hanging with friends! I've kept the kids busy with a session of swim lessons, visits to the library where they even got to get up close and personal with some cool animals, playdates at the park, quick trips to the children's museum, and the boys and I just finished reading the first Harry Potter together!
And last on the catch up list...I ran another marathon this last weekend on Pioneer Day! It took four marathons, but I finally got my time under four hours. It kicked my trash, but I was happy with my time! I can finally walk down my stairs again!!!
Well, that feels better to actually use these collages! I hope my Mom and Dad will enjoy all of these photos and forgive me for not being great at writing or skyping!!!
