It seems as though I only have time late Sunday evenings to do my blog. But I will say that it has been because we've been having fun and I've been indulging on a couple of naps this week, and I only feel a little guilty about it.
Wyatt completed his two week swim lesson session this week. Thanks to Ginger, we got some practice in at her pool (he was a little too cranky to swim unfortunately). The last day was cute, Wyatt earned a ribbon, which he was very proud of. I signed him up for another session, he loved it so much.

Thursday is "Lake Day!" So that's where we headed, this time with my parents. The water was so much warmer this time. Amazing how much better in just a week's time. Wyatt was a lot happier to swim in it and stayed in the water for quite a while. We all decided to go water skiing. Byron did awesome as usual, poor Dad tried, but its been a while and he just couldn't get up. Mom and I decided to even go for it. I haven't skied in years, hurts my back, but I pushed myself to do it and I got up right away. I'm been inspired to try to learn single skiing next!

Friday was my birthday (yucky!), but I was so surprised how many phone calls I got wishing me a happy birthday. Dear friends in town, as well as people from California, to Utah, to Florida called to wish me a happy day, and little messages as far away as Japan. That kind of stuff always surprises me. People are so busy, I'm not sure why they think of me, but I'm so grateful when they do. Anyway, back to the day, I spent the morning at the water park again with Wyatt, then after a nap,

we headed to the circus with my parents and grandmother. It is so fun to see things through Wyatt's eyes. The lights and animals just mesmerized him. It was off to my favorite restaurant , "Naked Fish" for dinner where we gorged on sushi and tempura fried ice cream. I got some neat gifts that I'm excited to use. Lots of kitchen stuff, guess I have more time to cook now!

Saturday was more relaxed. Byron helped to set up for girl's camp for church, and Wyatt and I took the dogs for a walk. We headed to the upper playground where the dogs could sit in the shade with no leash and not be bothered, and Wyatt could ride in the swing. On the way back, Wyatt decided he wanted to walk Da Vinci, which he's done before. But as we walked, I kept asking, "Are you getting tired? Ready to go in the stroller?" To which Wyatt would reply, "No, I Good!" He walked that poor old dog all the way home. Needless to say, Wyatt earned himself a Popsicle and Da Vinci earned himself a nap on the coolest part of the kitchen floor!
That night Byron and I enjoyed a very rare date night to a movie, "Don't Mess with the Zohan" (Funny, but cruder than normal Adam Sandler humor, actually quite political, wait for the DVD) and then we were treated to dinner by our friends Dianne and Blair Christensen. The reason we didn't have to pay? According to Blair, it was my birthday and Byron is his favorite plumber! Who can argue with that?
Sunday was a typical busy day (resting on the Sabbath? Whatever!). Visiting with ladies from church, Wyatt falling asleep on the way to church (not typical but appreciated!), and then eating dinner with our friends the Johnson's, Missi, and the Quintons. Good day!
I'll be spending the next 2 days getting the house in order before our trip to La Jolla, CA, and making a Thomas the Train cake for Candil Hall (my old employment) for their train week (Ginger, want something to do? J/J). I have so much to do, it is easy to get overwhelmed. Just got to get it done!
