The Clinton Circus

I was under the impression that the rain was coming and it would be here early in the day so we chose to stay home and straighten up around the house. Well, we should have gotten out in the morning since the rain didn't come till late afternoon. Oh well, at least we got the house (or the downstairs) straightened and picked up....for about 30 minutes and now it doesn't look like we did anything (not really, just parts look like that)! Guess that's what happens with 4 girls home for SB!

While I was cleaning the kitchen the girls decided to play in the downstairs hall closet because as I was told "there was a tornado in our house"! (I sure hope there is NEVER a tornado "in our house")! Anyway, this is what I came in to the hall to find...all the jackets pulled down and thrown all over. I made the girls clean them up before lunch...it was a great lesson in teamwork and how to hang things on hangars. Ha!

We did get out...in the rain...to go watch my brother play basketball with his church league. It was nice to get out and the girls had fun cheering for Uncle Andrew!





My dad was there as well and my mom sent some yummy, homemade cupcakes for us to bring home. They were so good and the girls enjoyed them when we got home. Nothing like a chocolate peanut butter cupcake at 9:30 pm! And surprisingly, everyone went right to bed after their cupcakes!







Eleanor got a "special cupcake"...peanut butter free due to her peanut allergy!

The girls and I went to Garvan Gardens with my mom to go look at all the beautiful flowers and see the tulips during their Tulip Festival! The weather was perfect and we all had a great time...even if we were all sneezing and rubbing our eyes from all the pollen blowing in the air. All the flowers and plants were blooming and it was absolutely gorgeous!
