Welcoming a Little Pink into our life

Will just finished a two week fall break.  He is on a balanced calendar this year, summer is shorter and he gets two weeks in the fall and two weeks and the spring.  So far I am loving it.  I tried to pack in lots of fun the first week as I knew the baby was probably going to come during the second.  Below is the apple orchard I have loved going to since Will was little, 29lbs later we were headed home.
All my boys... mentally I was fully expecting to have a fifth boy in this line up... God had other plans...

This kid is a mess... a handful and a joy all day long :)  Sometimes more the first than the second :)

Big Mama!  This is right at 39 weeks.

Proud daddy of a BABY GIRL!  Pat thought it was a girl at the end of my pregnancy, I was shocked.

Molly Kate quickly came into this world at 8lbs 1oz.  She is healthy and beautiful.  We are so excited to have her in our family.

Sweet Girl

First family photo.  The older two were a bit surprised too that is was a girl... not to excited about it at first but by the second visit to the hospital they seemed better with it.  Once we were home Will said "he likes having a baby in the house" and "he likes having a little sister."  Today Cooper was telling Joel that she was "delicate like mom and they have to be gentle with her."  All of them want to hold her every day... it has been very sweet to watch.  We are blessed.
Pat is a little alarmed with all the pink and bows and the size of them.

Ohh the pink, so fun!

What has happened since Christmas?

I have put on a few lbs :)  I am such a great blogger :)

Here I am at 33 weeks and I think this is the second  belly picture of me, and to think I took one monthly with Will :)

We are in the final stretch and looking forward to meeting baby #4.  As we have always done. the gender will be a surprise.  Although people look at me like I have 2 heads when 1. I tell them we don't know what we are having and 2. It is our fourth child.... I just love it.  First off I love thinking and imaging what our family will be like with either another boy or a girl being introduced into this male dominated house.  And secondly, I just don't think 4 is a lot of kids :)  ha!  I can't imagine less for us.  We are excited about the next few months!

Christmas Season

Cooper was our first round of basketball this year, and he loved playing, he is our most obsessed with this sport with the other two not far behind :)  Cute coach too huh!

We had fun doing holiday baking.  I made peppermint popcorn this year by the vats for friends and neighbors.

This little one finally decided to walk at 21 months, and as ran head first into terrible twos.... he knows the word NO way too well!

The boys were excited for the first decent snow and the first school delay for it... I wish every school day started a few hours later.

We spent another Christmas at the Ranch.  This year with the owners :)

They each have their own unique pose in this picture :)

Christmas day my little soldiers got fully outfitted as a yankee and a confederate :)

Mimi got this little car, it has been fun for all of us as it holds up to 220lbs.

Missy made the boys BEAUTIFUL quilts this year.  Both her an my mom have gotten into quilting the past few years and we are reaping the benefits :)

The whole gang, this will sound funny to some but a small group for Christmas dinner as we usually have extended family that come over for the meal and evening.

We headed to Memphis for a few days on the drive back home for some time with my family and the newest addition.

We also go to see my Gyn and Pere.

AND most importantly to celebrate my dads retirement from ExxonMobil!  Woohoo!  We are so excited that he is able to retire and live back on this continent and spend more time with us!

The boys were bummed to miss the BIG snow that happened in Indy while we were gone, but we came home with lots still on the ground to play with.  Joel didn't want to take his snow suit off once inside.... I guess this is better than fighting me to put on his coat and snow suit.

I hope you got to spend your Christmas break celebrating with family as we did!

Fall and a BIG 7 Year old!

This year the boys are both playing soccer at church again, and Cooper guilted Pat into coaching his team again :)

And then we did something we said we wouldn't and let Will play two sports at once, he is LOVING Y flag football, and was happy to be on the Packers....

Speaking of Will.... 7 YEARS!  What in the world!  Where did time go?  We had a fun week of celebrating his life.  He got his first set of golf clubs and was SUPER excited!

This 18month old is finally cruising, and figured out how to climb the swing set.

Will had a nerf birthday party and Dad played the part of drill sergeant for our boot camp the boys went through before the battle.

This was a GREAT boys birthday party!  I think they all had a good time!

My first attempt at fondant, it turned out ok... one bite in and Will said the icing was gross :)  Butter cream is just so much better to tasting!

Our family with out BIG 7, 4, ad 18month old!  Will you are such a smart, sporty, sensitive, good older brother... we love you and we are loving see you grow in your knowledge of the Lord!

Goodbye Summer

The temperatures are finally getting cooler here and yesterday was our last day of summer as Will started first grade today.  (tear)  But we had some fun these past few weeks of summer.

Batman turned 4!

He wanted a basketball Court cake.... I was hoping to do a ball but he wanted the court.  He really wanted Michael Jordan on it, but you just can't pick one of those up at Walmart these days :)

Pat took Will on the 2nd annual back to school boys "camping" trip.  I put that in quotations because he intends for it to be a camping trip but this year with the drought there is a burn ban around here so camping without a fire just didn't sound fun.  Instead they spent the weekend in Cincinnati and went to a Reds game.  They had a good time.  I think this will be a fun annual trip all through school for the boys and then even when they are older.

The boys have been all about cooking with me recently (asking to help all the time).. which I love since I love to cook and hope to produce boys who know how and like to cook also!
The boys had a free "bick" wash yesterday.  They marched up and down the street advertising with the sing Coop is holding :)

This morning through tears I made my first school lunch of what I am sure will be hundreds :)  We won't talk about my breakdown.  I am just sad that the majority of this little boys waking hours will not be spent with me.  It is all we have both known for almost 7 years and it makes me SOOOO sad that it is changing!

And here is the BIG first grader!  He lost is front tooth this weekend :)

He came home (at least he came home... two doors down didn't make it on the bus!) with and OK attitude.... not great... he said it is too long and he didn't have any time to play...  and then there were tears at bed time tonight about it.  I'm hopeful this will get better in the next few weeks! :)

Summer Fun

It has been a busy summer for us, busier than I prefer,  We started the summer off by Will finishing his kindergarten year.... he would be the giant in the second row... par for the rest of his life I am sure :)  He had a good year.  He still asks to be home schooled quite often.  I am sad that he will be gone all day next year.... I will try to wait and shed those tears later this summer :)
We too Will out a day early from school (surprise surprise) so we could head to Memphis where he got to go on his grandparents trip with Nana and Pere.  They went to Branson and had a great time.  Mom said Will was a daredevil with the rides.  I look forward to when our whole family is a bit older and we can do amusement Park as a family as I love them!
I did get a day away with these sweet friends on Mothers Day weekend.
And then last weekend I got away to KC with these two girls... it has been seven years since the three of use have been together.  And we picked up like it was nothing.  I love them dearly.  I am sure we met the word quota that weekend for the whole city of Kansas City :)

High school, college, and my life here in Indy... God has really blessed me with amazing friends who love the Lord and are there to support and challenge me, it is such a blessing.

Here is Cooper with his buddy Luke
And these sweet friends are sadly going to be moving soon.  I still can't believe it!  They were some of our first friends here and hold a sweet place in our heart.

And can I just say, who needs a little girl to use her makeup on?  My boys totally know which eye shadow to go grab when they want war paint or facial hair :)
