Goodbye Mrs. Mary

Cooper had his last Speech therapy session this week.

He has gotten to a point where he is considered age appropriate with his speech. It has been amazing to see him progress in just the pass two months. We are so happy that he is doing well, but we are sad that he isn't going to have this hour each week. He loved Mrs. Mary. As soon as she knocks on the door he runs to his spot on the floor to play with her for an hour.

He is still receiving physical therapy. And since the beginning it is still a love hate relationship with Miss Kim. Some weeks... actually moments... he is good with her and then the next he is throwing a fit.

Here he is enjoying some time on the ball
compared to back in the day and how he felt on the ball...

Swing Set!

Santa came early for the Smits boys ...
(
The little elves hard at work (Pat was quite glad he wasn't the one out in the cold (it was mid teens).
The kids anxiously watching
And here it is!
I think this will get lots of use come spring and when the new baby and momma are inside!

It is already getting some use through the three snow falls we have had since we got it.

Thanks Mimi & Grumpy!

Thanksgiving

Pats family came to us this year for Thanksgiving.  And I didn't take many pictures.  I got Pat to fry the first of many turkeys in his future :)  I love to cook and plan the menu but one turkey was enough for me, I am more than happy to pass that job on to my husband.  He did a great job!

The girls went and had tea and shopping the day after Thanksgiving.

And we always like to play games with Pats family... this trip was scategories and balderdash.
Will loves to play games too... and Cooper loves anything Will loves.
We began decorating last weekend and Pat decided he wanted to do lights this year on the house.... thus we have the redneck way of putting them on your tree...
And Will was very excited to get on the roof with Pat for just a moment, Pat on the other hand was NOT excited to be on the roof.  As many of you know he is scared of heights.
Thus getting up here involved lots of sweat, shaking, pep talking, and love for his children :)
Those are all the pics I have downloaded right now, once I get the others off my computer you can see the final product!

Big Boy

Look who moved to a big boy bed this weekend!
He did great. I wasn't really concerned about this change, it is when the boys will share this room here in a few months.... I have a feeling their sleep is going to suffer.
Because of this...
These two are hilarious together and I think they are going to keep each other up . It is a joy to watch them together during the day but I for see me getting frustrated at night when I want silence and sleep :)
On a totally unrelated note, look what I made. I love it!

Controversial Post

Some of our family will love this picture, but his own grandparents may disown him :)

Will has been asking for a while for a longhorn jersey. And Pat told him not in our home :) Well while Pat was out of town on business our neighbor brought some hand me downs and this was in there. He was SO excited :)

Will has been very interested in football this year with Pat. Watching, playing, and learning with lots of questions.

Will is pulled between two loyalties. Everyone one is Pats family went to (or is going... Congrats Uncle Kevin!) A&M, except for him... his love of basketball out weighed his love of A&M :)

And my brother a UT grad and currently getting his MBA there, started brainwashing out first niece 14 years ago. And thus most of Will's cousins like the longhorns.

Thankfully they only play each other once a year at Thanksgiving so he can root for both teams most weeks. Of course we have Pats family here for Thanksgiving this year so we will see who he chooses to wear on November 26.

(Oh and Mimi and Grumpy, that also brought another UT shirt over that Cooper is wearing today too.... he wants to be just like his big brother :))

Pumpkn patch

We were late going to the pumpkin patch this year and won't do that again. It has been one of our favorite things the past few years (and a great picture op) and all that was left was busted pumpkins. So we ended up buying one up at the nursery part of the pumpkin farm.

Putt Putt Golf

For Wills birthday we had a party at a local putt putt golf place. It was nice because we had the place to ourselves and he had a good time...

We waited to have the party so his cousins could be here.
Will and I made a golf ball pinata this year.

Look who's Five!

My baby boy is five years old!

I got this costume at one of the chateaus in France this summer and saved it as a bday gift for him.

You are a sweet little boy and we love you so much. I tear up every time I think about this being my last year having you home :(

Love you Will Smits!
