Blogtoberfest Giveaway

I think I said I was going to post this on Friday but I've got a busy day tomorrow with playgroup, then swimming for Lucy, a bit of shopping, swimming for Charlotte and now to add to the Friday chaos Charlotte is doing cricket.

So here is what is up for grabs. Two fabric packs - one for the girls and one for the boys.

Girls Pack
3 Heather Ross fabric
All at least 1/2 metre each

Boys Pack
2 Michael Miller cowboy fabrics
Truck fabric from op shop
Again all large pieces

I can do actual measurements if anyone wants just let me know. There may also be some extra goodies but my brain isn't functioning at the moment.

So now the nitty gritty. Leave a comment by 8pm Sunday night (that's AEST) and let me know if you want the boy pack or the girl pack, it's that easy.

It's Official

It's official I'm crap at Blogtoberfest this year, although I am blaming the weather a bit because it has been dull and overcast for taking photos.

More stuff for the markets. These self cover buttons are BIG, 5cm and 4cm diameters.

Badges

Big Hair Ties

Little Hair Ties
Magnets

I'm going to have a giveaway on Friday so make sure you pop back to have a look and then enter if you feel so inclined.

Travelling along nicely

I've probably lulled myself into a false sense of security but I think I am travelling along nicely with market plans. Here are a bunch of Travellers all ready to go.

Around the Block

I've been working on a couple of new products for Mathildas Market.

These story dice which will come with a little Moleskin notebook and a pencil/pen. Depending on time constraints I am hoping to have them in a little drawstring bag, if not I'll work out some other packaging.
Next up is an idea I got from Ingrid when I was showing her the story dice. She suggested making little block puzzles with them. I only have enough blocks at the moment for 2 different puzzles but I have more on order thanks to a little man in Tassie courtesy of Toni.

From a Miffy book

From The Taxi that Hurried

All the illustrations on both the story dice and the puzzles come from damaged vintage books.

Op Shop Finds

I haven't been having much Op Shop luck lately but yesterday I popped in to my local one and picked up this lovely sheet (Ingrid I might send some your way, it is so soft and would make great dress lining) and this truck fabric (not sure what I will use that for but I'm sure I'll find something)

EB Doll Quilt Swap Sneek Peek

Another sneak peek of my doll quilt. I'm really happy with it especially as it was all hand pieced (is that the right word?) and hand quilted which was a big step for me and totally out of my comfort zone.
Just need to do the binding, label and hanging slip.

Sorry I've been away

So I've been slack with Blogtober again but I took Charlotte and Lucy down to Bowral for a few days to visit relatives.

We fed the ducks and did some riding amongst the rainy, cold days.

We are off again on Tuesday so I am attempting to do a couple of scheduled posts before I go. So get ready for lots of photos.

Snap

I ordered a Snap Press from here a week or so ago (they're having a sale if you are in the market for one) and I finally picked it up from the Post Office yesterday. I gave it a workout today putting some snaps on a new kids satchel I am doing for Mathildas . I am going to use them on the travellers as well as I think they will be easier for little fingers than the button and elastic I put on the last lot.

The girls and I are off to Bowral tomorrow but hopefully I will squeeze a quick post in before we go.

Oops

So I missed yesterday but that was pretty much because I was boring. I did pick these lovely fabrics up from Corrie on Friday and we had a nice chat will our two girls played, very nicely too.

She's having a sale so pop over (I'm trying to be good)

Turn Back the Clocks

Image from here
As some of you may know if you are living in Sydney or Melbourne (oops or Adelaide) daylight savings started today. Silly me turned the clocks the wrong way so when Lucy woke up at 4.15am I was trying to get her back to sleep but it was really 6.15am.

We were supposed to go here today but it was absolutely pouring this morning so obviously we decided not to go. Fingers crossed we can change our tickets, although it's not looking good.

TV Viewing - Blogtoberfest Day 3

Now this may come as a surprise to some of you but I love tv and I especially love the Lifestyle Channel on Foxtel. So as you can imagine I IQ many shows and watch them when I can get a chance. This week saw the start of Kirstie's Handmade Home (probably old news to our UK friends so feel free to go back to what you were doing). Now I already love Kirstie (and Phil) so I was excited to see this show and I must say even though I haven't finished it yet I am loving it.

I just did a search and there seems to be a few forums where people aren't that impressed but if you are in Australia, have Foxtel and didn't watch it I'd suggest checking it out.

Crazy Hair Day - Blogtoberfest Day 2

Last day of school today and it was Mufti and Crazy Hair Day. I made Charlotte some new shorts and of course she chose some of my Heather Ross Mermaid fabric. We also made a tshirt courtesy of Martha Stewart. It was super easy and Charlotte did all the eyes herself and then I just did the sewing.

Looking forward to not having to rush out the door every morning, mind you I'll still be working some days with some little breaks thrown in.

Blogtoberfest

OK I'm putting my hand up for Blogtoberfest again, yes call me crazy. One month exactly until Mathildas Market, and school holidays about to start so I can't promise that I will be up to the challenge but I will certainly try.

More info over at Miss Tinnie's.
