mmmmmmmmmyello? 2008 calling?

Can you believe it? I cannot!
Yesterday, I spent 6 hours cleaning my bedroom from top to bottom, clearing the clutter out of the corners for the new year. 6 hours? I am messy. But a lot of that was laundry at the House o' Suds. I washed every stitch I own. My closet is actually really neat because I cleaned it a few months ago and then some junk piled up in front of the door and I couldn't get into it to mess it up.
I got stuff to look forward to in the new year.
Tonight, party at Dan and Sarah's. Tomorrow, go through and shred old papers! New Year! I OWN YOU!

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?

26 December 2007

First thing I did when I came home was call the cops on my neighbors. Whassup, Queens!
I came home and gave out all my presents except for one that I have to give Tracey when she gets here in an hour or so. I drank a bit with people I know, and watched a lot of tv. My parents get a channel which is called "chiller". I wish we got it back home. It's all old episodes of Night Gallery, but I still want it. There is this baby which is cute, and two older kids who are precocious and hilarious.
I think I did ok with gift giving. Not great. My brother Adam and I gave each other almost the exact same haunted castle calendar. We are not weird, just similar. I thinkt he fact that we got each other slightly different haunted castle calendars is creepier than if we had bought each other the same. I think Tracey might like the thing I gave her, I hope. I gave Quinn a few things he didn't like and a Spiderman TPB, which I think he enjoyed, because he was over my shoulder reading the buffy books with me.
I got 25 pairs of socks, the buffy comics (!), a lounge outfit, and some lemony lotion. Pretty good. My sister and I spent a ton of money and four hours making food for Christmas eve. That was more fun than I thought it would be. There's so much left! Last night I saw Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem with my brother and several members of the Buffalo Sheriff's department. I don't get why people get so nutty at the movies on Christmas.
Anyway, I drive home in a bit. I am cramping really hard and the only thing my mom has is baby aspirin and Demerol. I might just have to suffer. pics to follow.

21 December 2007

I comes home tomorrow afternoon. I need break from city. I tired.

18 December 2007

Another girl for the Garveys, another missed opportunity to name the kid "Clark".

Merry Christmas, Happy new baby!
You guys are the best. Love!
RJ: Hi Sarah. You're wearing a lot of makeup.

uh, yeah, I've been under the weather.

My boss: OH MY GOD! your FACE! It's all RED!

I have . . . I don't know, it's cold out? Maybe a touch of rosacea?

FedEx Guy: What HAPPENED?

I--What? What do you mean?

FedEx Guy: You're wearing a SCARF!?!?!?

Um. It's part of my outfit.

I am hideous. That's the lesson. Stay indoors. I'd like to think I have something interesting, like body dismorphic disorder, but no, I am pretty sure I am just visually offensive.

13 December 2007

It's rough not being able to do this from work. Right. Well, here's hoping that's the most I can complain about.

On tuesday our company had a party for our clients, so I ran around with a few people I used to know from when I worked on a different floor. we had "Casino Night", which was kind of hilarious. A guy I who said he didn't gamble a few days before was all OVER the craps table, and he managed to teach me how to double our fake money. At the end of the evening I was leaving and he had 6000 in chips, and he said "I don't feel like carrying this anymore. Let's go put them all on prime numbers." Puts a smile on this face.

Under the Tuscan Sun is on. Shhhh. Best movie ever. When the water comes out of that spigot-I tell you. Water. Works.

09 December 2007

You'd think I'd have cabin fever by now. Nopes. My tv has gotten quite a workout. I finished Wonderfalls (again. sigh!) I love that show. The first four episodes are like ok but then it just gets so fun and funny. Also, only the first four episodes aired, so if you watch the rest it's like you and I are in a special club. I am super psyched about Paranormal State on A&E, not super psyched about going back to work.

It's almost Christmas and I haven't even THOUGHT about what I am going to do.

I'd like to feel better now, thanks.

08 December 2007

Day 3 of hibernation. It's going well. I am still sick as hell. Thursday afternoon I was convinced I had meningitis. I saw my doctor yesterday, fully prepared to be admitted to a hospital for double pneumonia and pancreatitis.
"Seems like you've just got a real bad cold."

I have to push fluids, get some rest and watch less House, MD
