What can i do to stop getting sick? It's annoying. I have the damn ass flu now. How long does the flu take? Couple days? Sigh. Anyway.
I am moving to a new place in two weeks. That's totally bananas.

In celebration of my most recent awful perfect ridiculously awful romantic comedy moment (not the good kind, where ella fitzgerald starts singing and the credits roll, the terrible kind when Rufus Wainwright and dido start singing about how they eat dinner at the kitchen table and the grey walking around new york city montage starts) I present some of my favorite dating advice:
"you know, I mean, like, i met her doing that short film and like, I could have been like 'no' but i think like if you're just open, like you don't seem like you're not open, but like if you just open yourself you know and like say yes, like it happens. or whatever."
"just give it time. who knows, someday soon you may be doing ________'s laundry!"
And my all time favorite:
"If I could give you one piece of advice: Dress sluttier."

I require the following items. Blogging about them is equivalent to "putting it out into the universe".
1. I need a new profile picture for facebook. One that does not make me cry.
2. The ability to look at a picture of myself and not cry.
3. Some Boo Berry cereal. Or new black shoes. My red ones look funny with any color pant other than black. (Please note, I would NOT like both of these things at the same time.)
4. Get some yoga into my shed-jewel.
5. To see a movie. I'd like to see The Eye, but pretty much anything sounds good right now. With someone cute and single would be ideal, but I am not choosy.
6. A good cry.
7. #1 and #5 to not happen concurrently with #6.
Ok, The Universe, I'll do what I can on my end. You work your magic.

Don't go to open mikes in the basements of taco joints
A little tip from me to you.
After we gracefully stumbled out between acts Tracey and I went to a bar to hear my friend DJ. I actually got hit on twice! A drunk frat guy who told me he wanted to fuck me with the island of manhattan and a bouncer who introduced himself and then stared at me silently for a really long time. Both cute, too! Go me!
I am in day one of being completely alone in my apartment. So far it has been steadily getting more and more awesome. I think I will be ok living alone. I even woke up early and cleaned a little, so I could enjoy my freedom fully without dirty dishes casting a shadow of disdain. I have been putting clothes on, just so you know.
Ok, I am listening to the "party shuffle" on my itunes. No lie:
1. Spooky sound effects-scifi lab
2. Rob Zombie Dragula
3. Jekyl and Hyde soundtrack- This is the Moment
I love Rob Zombie, but this is the shittiest party ever.
Oh shit. I spoke too soon. Live and Let Die just came on. This party owns!

Can I really quick sing the praises of google reader? You all should get it. Not only does it allow me to read a lot of stuff that my office blocks (shakes fist!), but it also suggests stuff that is awesome that I would love, like glark, and even when my firewall won't allow pictures (shakes fist!) I can star it for when I get home, so I can coo and squeal over stuff like this in relative privacy. Also, you can share posts with everyone in your contacts who has google reader, which I am enjoying. You're welcome for all 900 can i has cheezburger? shares, everybody. Also, I now get shared posts from a guy I went on one "the onion personals" dot com date with in march of 2006. Magic!

Yes, I am as tired of being sick as you must be hearing about it. I've had a bad cold every three weeks since October. Whassatabout? I dunno. I do like freedom of the internets right now though. And the opportunity to rest.I have a show tonight that I am very very excited about that I think and hope will be very good. I have to conserve my energy.
Yesterday was: work all day, then show at six, show at 8, rehearsal at nine. I had a day off coming to me, so i took it! Take that, world! I will NOT feel guilty!
I am reading a book about meditation called "Lovingkindness" that is a little over my head (who knew there was so much work involved in meditation? It's more than just sitting quietly and thinking about groceries and cute boys?) but I like it. A yoga teacher read from it during class and I was like "I would like to know more." It's all about finding happiness within yourself. I look forward to that taking effect! Tracey bought me "Eat Pray Love" for christmas, so that is next on the list. Yeah, I am giving vampires and zombies a rest. FOR NOW.
In other news, I am impulsive and goofy.
