The End of the Day (finally)

This morning I woke up with one heck of a stomach ache. I thought that I was going to be sick, you know the feeling when you start to inventory all the things that you have eaten and what could have made you sick? Well that was this morning. I know that it was because I totally stuffed myself yesterday, and then chased all the food down with some homemade chocolate ice cream (ice cream is something that I just count on feeling sick after I eat it. I might be borderline lactose intolerant. And I ate a lot of it.) Anyway, after I took a big dose of Maalox and a Prevacid, and slept in for another 30 minutes or so I was feeling better so I took the kids to my mom's house to see Erica before she leaves tomorrow. They were going to go to Seven Peaks today and I wanted to wish them a good time. Well plans changed and they talked me into going to the Kamas pool. Just so that anyone who googles the kamas pool can find my review of it the full name is South Summit Aquatic and Fitness Center or SSAFC. I have two almost three year old kids. I am a good mother who doesn't want anything bad to happen to her kids and finally I am very attentive to them while they are in the pool. But anyone who has two almost three year old kids knows that they do not always do exactly the same things at the same time and they certainly don't hold hands all day long and stay right next to each other all the time either. So the pool is a hard place for me to say the least. The first time that Brooklyn got away from me and started to drown I looked over at the lifeguard. He didn't make a move to try to save her BECAUSE HE WAS ASLEEP IN HIS CHAIR!! That was the worst incident. But I can say that there were FOUR times that I think that the lifeguards could have done a better job and they just weren't even close to paying attention to any of the kids in the pool. I did tell the main lifeguard. She looked like she might be about 17 years old, so she'll probably fix all the problems, and really let them have it in their next staff meeting. We on the other hand will not be going back there. After I got home and fed the kids their lunch I went Visiting Teaching. My new partner is a real great lady, but she is a talker. We got out of there in just over an hour (only one lady's house, we have four that we visit) Tomorrow we will go again to another lady. I have a dentist appointment at 12:15 so we can't visit for too long tomorrow. And when my kids woke up from their nap Brooklyn kept whining and whining until I finally took her temperature. She has another fever. I think that it is going to be another UTI. I'm not really sure why her pee is so toxic, but I'm really getting sick of it. She's been freezing all night long. We went outside to water our plants and Shane mowed the lawn and stuff. She went in and got a blanket and curled up on a lawn chair in it. I was sweating. I think it must have been 90 degrees out there. And she was crying because she was "fwogen" (that means frozen). Or she would be "fweegen" (freezing). Poor kid. I hope that she feels better tomorrow.

P.S. I made some ham and cheese deli's tonight. I was going to give some to anyone who might stop by and get a friends and family coupon...on their way home from work. They were nice and hot and fresh out of the oven. I'll still give you the coupon it just won't be as good.

Friends and Family at Nike is Thursday through Sunday and I still have a few coupons if anyone else is interested. And I can get more if I need them so still let me know if you want one (or some). And they are good at any Nike outlet or Nike Clearance store for those of you who live out of state.

37:02!!

Showing off what place we got! Justin beat us all (except for Becca).

We all picked out the same color of t-shirt.

Susie and I running for the finish line.

Here we come only 1/2 a block left. Susie thought that it wasn't very nice of me to sprint ahead of her at the finish line, but it was a race after all.

We had a great time. I was very proud of myself (as well as everyone else that ran with me). Susie and I set a goal to beat 40 minutes and we did! I think that I'll run again during Fair time if anyone is up for it. 8:00 AM August 8. Anyone? Anyone? There's a parade at 10 the same day...
