How I Spent My Christmas Vacation

Clay and I went to Montana for Christmas to spend time with my family. My sister (Alyson) and her husband Jim came with Miss Lily. We had a grand time. Here are some of the things we did with our Christmas vacation...

Before we left Clay and I had our own Christmas together!

Clay gets a BlueRay!

We got a ...

Wii!

And the puppies just slept!

Then we headed to the great north land. (not the great great north land that is Canada)

We met our niece Lily Landi Klein

Gramby was in her element

Our stockings were hung by the chimney with care

And sure enough Santa paid us a visit!

We claimed our loot!

And opened presents

And more presents

And more presents!

And the puppies slept. (Sassie, Peanut, & Hazel)

Then we spent the rest of Christmas day enjoying our new found treasures and eating a delicious dinner!

On Saturday we went Skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. I had not been skiing in at least 5 years and neither had Clay so this was bound to be an adventure.

We made it up the mountain

Dad our fearless leader led the way!

We had lunch at the midway lodge

And at the end of the day we were pooped.

We had a lot of fun skiing. The weather was perfect and we spent the morning doing the nice easy runs. After lunch Clay and I got a bit too brave for our ski ability and wound up on a run with lots of moguls! It was no fun. Clay tweaked his knee and I sprained my wrist. Overall we survived the experience and had a lot of fun.

However we did receive one more big piece of news over the break. Clay's sister, Ally, gave birth to our third nephew! Mr. Rhys Ronn Zimmerman decided to join the world on Boxing Day (that is Dec. 26 for all of you non-Canadians out there). He's a big boy at 8 lbs 11 oz and 22 inches long! We are very excited we have a new healthy nephew. The Zimmermans are all doing well and adjusting to the new little one.

Aiden, Grandpa Dennis, Rhys, and Drew

So I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Grump

I've decided I'm a grump during finals. I informed Clay of this fact to which he replied he wanted to be a grump (mostly because "grump" is fun to say.) I told him that only one of us could be a grump at a time and I "called" it first. Consequently I'm a grump. It will be his turn to be a grump once finals are over.

P.S. Just try saying grump 5 time fast, it will make you smile!

It's beginning to look a lot like finals

... note cards all around.

The last couple of days have been dedicated to writing note cards (about 600 so far). Yesterday was the last day of classes and now I have a week to learn all there is to learn. Wish me luck!

See ya on the other side. Maybe I'll have some Christmas spirit then.
