A story

If you buy your husband a blueray DVD player for Christmas he is going to want the high-def television that goes along with it. And not just any high-def TV, but one that fits the living room. And if you have a high-def TV and blueray DVD player you're going to need the surround sound system that matches. And if you get a new surround sound system you're going to need to buy a new tuner to run all of those wires through. And if you allow your husband to buy the high-def TV you have to purchase the new TV stand for it to sit on. And if you buy a new TV stand you are going to need the matching end tables and coffee table. ***

The old . . .

Pretty awesome 1980s speaker system!
(This pic was near my b-day thus all the gifts)

Leftover college end table inherited from my folks (thanks mom and dad!)

Shamefully I was using the coolest 1970s gold and brown TV tray as an end table!

Somehow I missed a picture of our excellent coffee table complete with glass top and caster wheels. Man I hated to see that thing go :)!

So without further ado here is the new and improved living room!

46 inches of high-def awesomeness!

Solid wood end table - very nice!

The end table even has a matching buddy!
(As you can see Maggie is thrilled with the new furniture!)

Happy Anniversary M&D

It's my parents anniversary. I won't tell you how long they've been married for fear it may disclose their ages, but it's in the neighborhood of over 30 years :)! I don't think I gave away too much there.

LOVE YOU GUYS!

Third Puppy

Clay and I think one of the best "tricks" we taught the puppies was not to get on the furniture. Since both Baxter and Maggie weigh about 80lbs each they would end up absorbing all of the couch space leaving the people to sit on the floor. However, an unexpected consequence of teaching the dogs to stay off the couch is that the cat hardly ever leaves the furniture. The cat (or Tigger as Clay calls him) simply moves from couch top to couch top to avoid the dogs. So this morning I was surprised to find this . . .

Perhaps we have a third puppy! Granted it's a grouchy, biting, evil puppy.

P.S. Yes the dogs were inside when this happened.
