I have decided to say goodbye to my blog. I am little sad, but then again I rarely post, yet regularly feel guilt about not posting. So to simplify my life I am officially finishing my blog. Thanks to all those who have read.
I have been a terrible blogger! But I am back to the land of living! I won't try and catch up, but I will share about our fun trip to Mexico. Richard and I went for a week to Los Cabos, just the two of us! It was so great. We had such a nice time snorkeling, going on sunset cruise where we danced and ate way too much food! We played on the beach and by the pool and even sang karaoke at the resort we were at! It was such a treat and a much needed break! Thanks to my friend Tori for watching my kids!

My sister-in-law Melissa's awesome photography work!
My little Skyler is one! I'm amazed at how quickly this first year went. Skyler is such a happy baby boy. He loves to smile, laugh, give wet drooly kisses and play with any toys sitting around. He'll eat anything put in front of him ... lucky for me! He is a fantastic sleeper and just a wonderful little boy. He is our Skyler the Smiler. On his first birthday we had a backyard BBQ with our family here in Utah. We really missed our family in California ... wish you could have been here. Skyler loved his balloons and LOVED his cake! We are so lucky to have him and Gavin in our lives. Love You Boys!
Gavin has been attending a gymnastics class for the last couple months. He basically runs around for forty-five minutes and does a couple summer salts (I don't know the actual spelling of that). They had a recital at the end of the year to show off their skills. Gavin just followed the other kids. He jumped through some hula hops and did a couple summer salts. I was so proud, I actually got teary eyed. What a goofy mom! But I am so proud of Gavin for going up in front of such a big crowd. That had to be scary and he was so cute!!
Then, as you can see, he had a little tumbling mishap and like the good mom that I am, I just giggled and continued taping him!
Skyler makes a great assistant gardener. He digs up things we planted, eats the herbs that are finally sprouting and digs in the box of raspberry starts. He may not be very helpful, but he sure is cute!
To celebrate Daddy's 30th birthday, we went and saw "How to Train Your Dragon" and had dinner at Red Robin! We had such a great time at the movies. We are so lucky to have such wonderful move-going kids! If we give Gavin a bag of popcorn, he will happily sit and watch the whole thing! We had a great time being together!!
The Peaks had an employee party for everyone and their families. We brought Carly's family and had a great time skating on a nearly empty rink! The little boys wanted to play with "hockey" with the bromball equipment. Maybe we have two future players on our hands. The girls loved pushing Skyler around in the stroller and Skyler loved going for a ride. An what evening of skating would be complete without an injury. Sadly, Travis had a crash and broke off half of his front tooth. Good thing we know a dentist who could take care of him! The evening ended with a trip to Richard's office for a little cosmetic repair. We also had fun putting Ellie on the harness and making her fly like tinkerbell. It was tons of fun!
Gavin got his first pet! A goldfish. He was so excited to to feed him and help clean his bowl. He kept him at the kitchen table and would sit with him while he ate his breakfast. He named him Nemo. It was lots of fun to watch him enjoy his fish. Unfortunately, the fish died four days later. Gavin was a little mad at first, but got over it quickly. We have not replaced it because I'm too lazy. Anyway, it was fun while it lasted!
Gavin started pre-school in January and loves it. His teacher is name is Heather and he always tells me he loves "teacher heaven." He is turning into a big boy and not just my little toddler. I am certainly enjoying four hours of week of having just baby at home who is napping. I forgot how much I can accomplish at home without kids!
