So I took a few thousand pictures of Lizzie on her birthday. Bare with me, this is just a few of them.

Ben wanted his picture taken too. How could you not want to take a picture of his cute little face! And yes these all need to be edited, but hey I'm only a year behind on this blog so I'm feeling pretty good about just getting these posted.

She was starting to climb the wall! The feeling was mutual. I spent most of my time trying to hold her back with my foot and then pull it back fast enough before she crawled off and not catch my leg and foot in the picture.

A teenager is in the house! Remind me again how I got this old?

Kaden requested Banana Cream Pie instead of cake.

I can't remember what Ben gave to Kaden, but this picture is priceless. Not only just because it's so cute, but also rare.

Some how Lizzie got a hold of something chocolate, and she was NOT about to give it up. She must really be my daughter.

Ben hits the big 5. For quite a while he kept asking if he was going to kindergarten. We had told him that in order for him to go he had to be 5. My mistake.

For his birthday party he wanted a football game. So we invited his very best bud Lance and his family over for a little flag football.

Lizzie flirted with her future betrothed, Dane

and SURPRISE another football cake. At least I'm finally figuring them out.

This and That

The weekend before Thanksgiving Daisy blessed us with 8 pups. She promptly moved them to a space under the barns and so we didn't see them or know if they even survived for 5 weeks. Luckily they ALL emerged heathy and well.

Benson took a special interest in this little guy that he named "Presents", This was a common thing for him to bring the puppy inside and just hang out with Presents on his chest.

Grandma and Grandpa came for a quick visit, so to switch things up a bit we went to a Wenatchee Wild Hockey game. Fairly entertaining, we had the opportunity to throw fake pucks onto the ice for a chance at a prize, Detton was so enthralled with his that he hid it in his coat to take home.

Pinewood Derby, Sawyer's is the black and gold car. Imagine that! PLUS we are off the hook to build another one for an ENTIRE YEAR!

Sawyer and his friends were able to play in their league tournament and placed 1st.

Boone Rees Jenks (Alli and Tony's Baby) was born February 2, 2012

We made a quick trip to Utah the end of February, because David and Ashley were visiting from Rhode Island. All of the grandkids. At least for the next two months, then David and Ashley added another little girl to the mix.

Remember how Detton is the sweetest kindest boy ever!?! Ya well that doesn't work so well on the wrestling mat. He won 1 out of 3. Not enough for a medal, and it broke his heart as well as mine.

Sawyer fared a little better and placed 3rd.

Kaden and Sawyer both won their school's spelling bee and were able to advance to the regionals in Wenatchee. I didn't realize how long it would take or I might have influenced them to pass it off to their runner-ups. Unfortunately, (or luckily!) they both got out the first round.
