Oh my word here it is a new year and I am just now getting on here.. Boy I have neglected my poor blog... I have so much to catch up on. This year one of my resolutions is to get on here more often and blog so I can make them into blog books.. I did that with the previous years and they turned out nice...
Well where to begin. There is so much.. Think I will just touch on the highlights.
After all our vacations this summer we got settled back into life.
Kids Started school. Everyody's first day picts.
Fall quickly set in and I wanted to get some outdoor picts before it got to cold.
This was our family pict we had done in Utah
We had a friend from our ward take pictures of the kids for their school picts.. I never like the ones they get back from the school.
Got one of us done too.
Austin was swinging from a rope swing at the neighbors and jumped off and ended up slipping on some leaves and caught the tree on the way down.
We went to the ER and they told us it was just an abrasion and sent us home, however after getting home and cleaning it up really good we discovered it really needed stitches so we ended up having to take him back.. They ended up putting a couple staples in it.
The nifty little hat they made him at the hospital.. It
didn't last long.
. Then came Halloween. I think the costumes fit the kids personalities very well this year. No pictures but Allie was a half angel half devil and Austin was a guy from the 70's with a big afro.
Then quickly came Thanksgiving.. My parents surprised us by coming out. We also had a family from our ward join us this year.
We had a great feast with great family and friends.
Then came the Birthday month. Austin, Steve and my birthdays are in the month of November so it was a very busy month. Not in order but here is Steve on his birthday. We are big with making treasure hunts for the birthday person and making them find their gifts.
This year we had a party for Austin at the Rec center with a few of his friends.. They had a blast swimming.
This year was also a special year for Austin because he turned 12 so he received the priesthood.. It was so nice to have my mom and dad out here to be a part of him receiving the priesthood.. Steve is able to trace our lineage of priesthood all the way back to Joseph Smith so that was really cool for him.
December came and went so fast.. We left for Utah on the 17th and drove out.. We had great weather for for our trip out. It was so great to see family and friends..
What would Christmas be without our traditional lump of coal and stick of wood.
Got to see my very best friend ho looked fabulous. She had a tumor removed from her thyroid and dropped so much weight and now is a skinny minnie.. I am so happy for her and am happy she finally is feeling well again. Now I look like the good year blimp next to her.. Hopefully I will loose it this year.
Steve with his mom Christmas morning.
We were so bummed thou because a storm came in and forced us leave for home early then planned to stay ahead of the storm so we unfortunately did not get to see all our family and friends that we had planned to so we were really bummed about that. It has been so long since we have seen some of the family and friends. Hopefully we will have a chance this year.
We got a wii game just dance that has been a family favorite. I love that it gets the kids up and moving..
And finally we are here to Feb. It was Jessie's birthday yesterday. It was also a snow day off from school due to the biggest blizzard MI has had in quite some time.. She was so excited to have her Bday on a snow day. They also cancelled school for today as well so it has been a nice break.
Jessie wanted a horse cake. I think it turned out pretty well..
Steve also got to stay home due to the storm so they all went out and built a snow cave..It turned out pretty awesome.. The snow was so powdery so they added lots of water to it make it pack and turn to ice with our balmy 17 below zero temps through the night.
Our hill of death as the kids call it.

Just to catch you up on the other stuff that as happened that was not documented with picts. We have finally found a house in Grand Blanc MI that we have decided to buy and move into... We will close on Feb 14th and move in possibly he end of March. It will be nice to finally own a home again and not have to rent.. We are not so excited to move out of our wonderful ward and make the kids change schools once again but we prayed hard that things would workout for the best and we would end up where we were supposed to be, so now we are just putting our faith in the Lord and hoping that we will transition smoothly and the kids will like their schools and meet some great friends, and we will feel at home in our home and new ward. I think Allie is struggling the most with leaving her friends from the ward and school.. It takes such a long time for her to come out of her shell and make friends so I hope she will settle in quickly and meet some new friends.
Hopefully I will keep this a little more up to date this year.. I will post picts of the house once we get settled in..
