These are some of Brooklyn's senior pictures.  I love how they turned out.  I have had a hard time picking the favorites out. I can't believe in 3 months she will graduate!

 We are blessed that our kids get along so well and love spending time together.  Our family photo session turned into a Brenn runs the show session. "If I have to do this, I am making it fun..." Lauren did such a great job!

Yeah, yeah, yeah..... I am waaaay late on posting the Homecoming dance pics.  No one reads this anyway, but I like to look back on our life so I will post this for me.  The kids went to dinner at Kobyea, a Hibachi steak house, and had a great time.  We are blessed that Brooke and Brenn get along so well.  They went to dinner and the dance together with their dates. As a Senior and Sophomore, I am sure my brother and I would not choose to spend time together! They had a great time and then came home to watch movies and eat!

The whole group...notice there is an extra girl, Shannon, Brenn offered to take her with the group when her date decided at the last minute to tell her he wasn't going.  This happened to Brenn last ear, too.  He is a stand up guy and we are so proud of him.

This is the traditional Texas Mum exchange before Homecoming.  The kids make mums for their dates and then give the mum to the date on teh Thursday before the game that is on Friday. They wear the mum to Friday school and to the game Friday night.  The dance is Saturday night and they do not wear them to the dance.  I know...it is not anything that we(those 3 people that read this) grew up with...but the kids love it!

As a Senior, the girls mum is to be white.  We added blue in for some color. She loved her mum! It had pics of her and Deane and the top lit up. Her bear was an artist as she is into art.
Brenn's date, Paula is a dancer, her bear is a has a tutu and little shoes. So cute! She is a sophomore so hers has the school colors and very little white. The top also lit up on the mum.

The boys wear garters on their arms.  This is Brenn's garter that Paula made him. He is a basketball player so the theme is basketball.  She did a great job on it! Deane is in college so we did not make him one....plus he did not go to this high school so that would be of no interest to him.

but you can't take Wyoming outta the girl! As a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming, and a small town Wyo girl I get sooo excited to watch the Cowboys any chance I get. We traveled to Austin this past weekend to watch the POKES take on the Longhorns.  We were fortunate to have done the same 2 years ago when they played in Austin. My brother came from Cheyenne and spent the weekend in Austin as well.   Britt came over from Houston so it was a family affair. We have a close friend from Wyo that came down and we got to spend a lot of time with him as well. Justin played basketball for the University of Wyoming, as a 3 point shooter, so Brenn was getting a lot of pointers. We also saw Reggie Slater who played for UW when I was there and went on to play in the NBA for 9 seasons. We had seen him in Houston so it was great to catch up with him and 2 of his children in Austin.  He was also giving Brenn tips on his game.  I only took a few snapshots because we were visiting and seeing Austin and enjoying all the great food and sights it has to offer! The game was not as bad as it could have been, we played fairly good. A win would have been great, but impossible! :) We will always have Poke Pride!

The UW band made the trip this time and showed up to entertain at the UW Alumni tailgate party.  It was great, loud and got the crowd going with Ragtime Cowboy Joe.
