Anniversary Card...

Hi Everyone!

Here is a card I made a while ago. I used a whole variety of things until I came up with this combination! I used the Looks Like Spring and Baroque Motifs stamp sets, and Rose Red Designer, Pretty in Pink, and Old Olive Paper. I'll have to send this off soon! My parent's anniversary is on Wednesday! Oops! Oh well, it's the thought that counts.

I finally decided what I would like to make for Christmas cards this year. Now all I need is the time to get them done! Thanks for looking!

Tri-Fold Card

Hello Everyone!

Well, it has been way too long since I've posted! I guess that comes with the territory. My job and little ones keep me very busy! I have had a few minutes here and there to stamp. It's becoming my therapy!

This is a tri-fold card that I made a few weeks ago. I used the Elegant Notes stamp set (one of my new favourites), Chocolate Chip paper and ink, So Saffron Prints Paper, and Whisper White ribbon. You undo the ribbon to reveal a cute note inside. Anyway, my time's up! Thanks for looking!

World Card Making Day...

Hi Everyone,
Just a note to let you know that I'm celebrating World Card Making Day this year! If you'd like to join me, I'll be having fun making cards this Thursday night. We will be making several cards using the Three For You Punch box, and this is one of them. We're also going to try out my brand new "Priceless" dry embossing template. If you'd like more info about Thursday night or any of my other classes, please let me know! Happy Stamping!

Christmas Already?

Well, I'm back! It has been a very busy few weeks of getting back into routine! Wow! The weeks sure fly by! Here is a card from a Christmas swap that I was involved in. I'm having a hard time thinking about Christmas already, but I know it will soon be time to begin making my Christmas cards and gifts.

This card was made by Louise and uses the Baby Jesus is Born stamp set (so cute!), Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, and the Outlaw Paper. This is such a great set, and I might just have to get it this year! Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Hi Everyone,

Well we are finally back in town for a while after a very busy summer! I started back to work this week as well, so life has been very busy! I'm looking forward to getting back into the fall routine.

This is a picture of the memory album I am making for Grandma's 90th birthday party. What a milestone! So far I have only completed the cover, but I'm looking forward to getting all of the great pictures in here. It was so fun to see Grandma and celebrate with her. The paper is "Cutie Pie", and I also used stickers from the Build a Flower tin to create my focal point, and of course lots of Wasabi and Pomegranate ribbon. Anyways, I hope you have all been enjoying these last days of summer! Hopefully, I'll be able to post a little more frequently over the fall! Thanks for looking!

Punch a Bunch!

Hi Everyone!

Here is a quick 3x3 card I made at Kerry's last club night. We used the Three For You Punch Box that is on promotion right now. I'm really enjoying trying out some 3x3 cards, as they are so quick and fun! (And of course I love the Pomegranate!) Enjoy these last few weeks of summer!

Double Line Doodles

Hi Everyone!

I hope you get a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunshine today! I wanted to get on here and post again while my computer is cooperating! This is a little "treat" that I made, when I was playing with my Double Line Doodles set. I just love this set for spring/summer! So cheery! I used Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, and Whisper White cardstock, and Soft Subtles Brads. There are a couple of chocolates tucked inside for a rainy day!

Landon...

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine after all of that rain! Hopefully we'll get some summer weather now. We celebrated Landon's third birthday last weekend! Time sure flies! This photo was taken last summer. It's so fun to see how much Landon has grown and changed in just one year! He is still as smiley as ever!

This page is from a 6x6 book that I made this spring...It went so fast compared to the 12x12 books I usually do! I used the Be Happy stamp set and the Rough Edges Alphabet (one of my new favorites). Well, now that my computer seems to be running more smoothly, I'll try to post a little more frequently...Technology! Thanks for looking.

Pick a Petal...

Hello Everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since I last posted! We have been away enjoying the beautiful hot weather! We went camping up near Squamish for a few days, and so we were able to stay cool by the Ocean. It was a great time to relax and hang out. Now on to all of those household projects I've been leaving...

Here are a couple of cards from my team card swap. These cards both use the same set, Pick a Petal, but have totally different looks! After seeing all of the great cards made with this set, I've definitely added it to my wish list! Thanks Marcella and Janet!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Canada Day long weekend. We had a great time away visiting with family and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. This is a card I made with one of my new favorite stamp sets! (There are so many sets in the new catalogue that I love!) This set is called Baroque Motifs, and I finally made some time to play with it. This card was for a recent swap. I'll try to download some more of the beautiful swaps I received in the next few days. Enjoy this hot weather!

New Catalogue...Yay!

Well, if I don't post for a long time it's because I'll have my nose in my new catalogue! It just arrived yesterday, and I am very excited to see all of the new stamp sets and accessories! I am also headed to the Okanagan tomorrow for the long weekend to visit family and hang out at the beach. So, I may post some pictures of our trip while I'm away! There's still room for more ladies for my New Catalogue Party on July 6th. Let me know if you'd like to come.
This is one of my swaps from Vancouver Regionals. I'm so happy that the Simply Said stamp set made it into the new catalogue as it's still on my wish list! Enjoy your weekend!

Time Flies...

Hey Everyone,
Sorry it's been so long since I last posted! Ryan had the camera at school for a while, and it has been a crazy week at work for him with graduations and final exams and report cards.
Well, I was looking through Landon's Baby Book and I came across these spring photos. I can't believe how little he is! He was so expressive even at eight months old! This was one of my first scrapbooks. It's neat to see how my style has changed over the years! I might have to pick out a few scrapbooking "kits" for Malia's book. I still have a long way to go! Well enjoy that beautiful sunshine out there today! It's not supposed to stay for long. Thanks for looking!
Amy

P.S. Still no new catalogue! I hope it arrives SOON!

Happy Father's Day!

I hope that you all had a great Father's Day! Although my dad lives far away, I still made sure I chatted with him, and told him how much I love and appreciate him! He has always been a great dad, and I love watching him play with all of his little grandchildren. (He currently has 6 under three years old, and one more due in July!) We have so much fun! So how did you celebrate with your dads? Landon and Malia took Daddy out for lunch at Boston Pizza today! What a treat!
This is a card that I made at Kerry's club last month. It uses a paper bag as the front of the card! (I love this idea!) There is a little coupon tucked inside the bag. It was so fun to watch Ryan try to open the card!

You're Invited...

Hi!
This is a little invitation I made for my New Catalogue Party! For my invitations I used two sets from the new catalogue: Double Line Doodles and Hugs and Wishes. I also used the New Prints Designer Paper (celery).
I'm really excited to see what will be added in the new catlaogue. From the sneak peeks I've had it looks great! So if you live in my area and would like to come, the party's on Friday, July 6th. I'd love to see you there!

Block Party

Hi Everyone!
I know it's been ages since I've posted anything! I thought I'd better get on here and leave a quick note! Here are a couple pictures of the kids at the big neighbourhood block party we had on Sunday. There was a big barbecue in the park with live music and lots of fun things for the kids. Here is Landon with a huge smile after going down the slip and slide. I couldn't resist getting Malia's face painted. The kids loved it! Anyways, my preorder from the new catalogue should be here any day now. Maybe once it arrives I'll make some time to play with my new stuff!

Goodbye Cool Caribbean...

Well, here are a few of my favorite cards! I got these cards at various swaps this year, and I must admit I am quite sad to see Cool Caribbean retire! It is such a bright and cheery colour, and I have used it on a lot of my own projects this year too. Thanks ladies for these great cards! I love the layouts, and I'll have to CASE them in new colours!

Something for Dad...

Hi Everyone!

Here is a mini scrapbook that I made at my club night at Kerry's last weekend. She always has lots of great ideas! The stamp sets used are Collage Alphabet, Artifacts, Expressive Flexible Phrases and Doodle This. The colours are Sahara Sand, Sage Shadow, So Saffron, with Basic Black ink. We also used the spiral and tab punches and the Notations designer paper from the Spring Mini. It was really quick and fun to make. The inside is made of clear envelopes and this book has five pages for photos. I like this idea because you can easily change the colours and stamps and make it work for any occassion! I'm going to find some photos of Ryan and the kids and give this to him for Father's Day. It was fun to make something a little more on the "guy" side!

New In Colours!

Hi Everyone!

Here are the new In Colours that will be available in July. My favorite colour is definitely the Purely Pomegranate. Ryan likes the Wild Wasabi. (He gets to hear a lot about stamping these days...) Let me know which colour you think is the best!

Spring Thanks...

Hi Everyone,

Here is a little paper purse that I made using the Petals and Paisley Designer Paper from the Spring Mini Catalogue. I also used the "thanks" from Heartfelt thanks in Tempting Turquoise. Just a cute little gift idea...

So does everyone have plans for the long weekend? My sister is coming to visit with her two little ones, so I'm sure the kids will have a blast! I'm looking forward to a relaxing break, and maybe we'll get a little sunshine in spite of the forecast! Have a good one!

Palette O' Prints

Hi again!

It's been a while since I've posted, so I thought I better put something new on here!

Here is a card that I made at my team meeting last weekend. Kerry showed us the layout for this 6x6 card. I love these colours! This paper is from the new Palette O' Prints pad. I love how all of the papers coordinate together. There was quite a variety of cards made! Anyways, I can always use birthday cards, so that's what this is! Have a great day!

It's Here...

Well, the retired list is finally here! I spent some time yesterday looking through my catalogue, and I can't believe some of the sets that are retiring! The two sets that really surprised me are First in Fashion and Espressoly for You. I think these are both so great! Some of the older sets have been around for a long time...and you know what they say change is good. I'm excited to see what the new sets will be to replace all of these!

You can view the list here:http://tinyurl.com/2rytpo

Let me know your thoughts!

Vancouver Regionals!

Hi Everyone! I had a super time at the Vancouver Regionals on Saturday! It was my first big Stampin' Up! event and it was so much fun! I learned so much, and had a great time with all of the ladies on my team. I wanted to quickly post a few pictures from my day. Of course I had to get my picture taken with Shelli. She was a great speaker and took the time to get her photo taken with sooo many ladies.

I also wanted to give you a sneak peek from the new catalogue that is coming out in July. This was the free set that all of the demonstrators at the convention received. It is called Double Line Doodles, and is super fun! I've already used it on a few projects. The card was one of the make n' takes we made using the new set. Anyways, I could go on and on... but I've got a full day today! Just had to give a quick update! Thanks for looking!

Friend Card

This is the card that I made for my Regional Swap. I'm totally excited! Tomorrow morning I will leave at 6:15 a.m. for a whole day of Stamping! It is the Regional Convention in Vancouver and there are 10 ladies from my team going. It is going to be a blast! I made 40 of these cards to swap with other demonstrators. I can't wait to see the cards I receive!

I made this card using Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme, Very Vanilla, and the Looks Like Spring Stamp set. I'm quite sad that Cranberry Crisp will not be available after June as it is definitely my favorite colour right now. I'll have to stock up on some paper and re-inkers before it's gone!

I do have the scoop on the new In Colours though... They are Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, River Rock, and Blue Bayou. I guess Pomegranate is close to Cranberry... I can't wait to see these colours in print!

Anyways, I'll tell you all about regionals when I get back. Thanks for looking!

Scrapbook in an Evening...

Hi Everyone!

I was just out walking with the kids, and wow was it nice to see that sunshine! Here is a sneak peek from my upcoming class. This is part of the 6x6 album we'll be making at the end of May. I had a lot of fun making mine! The whole album uses the Polka Dots and Paisley Theme. This page uses So Saffron, Old Olive, and Tempting Turquoise. I love the bright colours for spring! There's still room for more scrapbookers. I'd love to see you there!

Spring Journal

Hi Everyone,
Life sure has been busy! But it's back to the rain, so hopefully I'll get caught up on those household chores today. This is a cute journal that was made at the Stamper's 10 club that I attend. It uses the Doodle Alphabet and Office Acoutrement sets from the Spring Mini as well as the Petals and Paisley Designer Paper. I love the new tab punch for dividing sections in journals. I was thinking of making some journals for my Moms for Mother's Day. I'll let you know how it goes. Have a great day.

Easter Blessings...

Happy Easter Weekend!

I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend with family and friends. This is a beautiful card I got in my spring swap. It uses the Glorious Gift set from the spring mini. What are your plans for the long weekend? I think we will relax, relax, relax. We will probably do some yard work, and then take the kids out for some fun at the park or swimming pool if the weather isn't cooperating. Have a great one!

Happy Spring!

Hi Everyone! I'm sorry it's been ages since I've posted anything. Ryan and I have been away enjoying a Spring Break vacation. We spent a lot of time hanging out with family. It is always so nice for the kids to play with their cousins, but it does get very loud at times! It was a nice surprise to be welcomed home with a beautiful sunny day!
This is a card from my spring swap made by my friend Adele. She used the Polka Dots and Paisley set as well as a lot of dazzling diamonds to make her card shine. Perfect for getting into the spring mood! Hopefully that sunshine comes back soon!

Magic Blossom

Here is a beautiful card that my friend Janet made using the Magic snowflake technique. She used the Big Blossom stamp instead of the snowflake and embossed it using white powder. She then used an ink refill and applied it on top of the flower image to create this beautiful effect! She also used the heartfelt from the Heartfelt Thanks stamp set. I've decided to order some more embossing supplies so I can start adding a new dimension to my projects! Can't wait to experiment with my new stuff! Happy Stamping!

Snow in March?

Hi Everyone! This is just a fun shot of our little guy enjoying the snow! It's been a treat for Landon to have quite a few days of snow this year! He loves to go out. He didn't even put his coat and shoes on when he saw it was snowing! Had to take this pic! As much as the kids love this white stuff, I'm getting a little eager for spring.

Delight in Life

Hi Everyone! Sell-A-Bration is wrapping up, and I wanted to post this beautiful card that Marcella made for a swap we had a while ago. I love the idea of cutting out the flowers, as well as stamping right on the twill tape! Also a great colour combo!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you all had a great evening with your sweethearts last night! We had a quiet and relaxing evening at home with the kids. Ryan made steak, and then we put the kids to bed and watched a movie. Here are a couple of valentine's I made this year. These were candy pouches I made for Ryan's class (one for the girls and one for the boys). On the girls I used the Watercolour Joy wheel and the Be Happy stamp set. The colours are Pretty in Pink and Cranberry Crisp. On the boys I used the Square Pegs Wheel and the Be Happy stamp set with Brilliant Blue, Real Red, and Barely Banana. It was a lot of fun, and actually didn't take much time. Anyways, that's all for now. Have a good day.

Polka Dots and Paisley

Hello Everyone! Well, I guess it's back to the rain! At least it gives me
inspiration to get back scrapbooking. It's so nice to be all cozy inside on a
foggy day like today! Here is a card I made for an upcoming card swap. I used
the set Polka Dots and Paisley which will be available in the Spring Mini in
March. It is such a cute set! I also tried a new colour combination: Brilliant
Blue, Apricot Appeal, and Cranberry Crisp. It's nice and bright for spring! (I also used the vintage brads which matched surprisingly well with the Apricot).
The kids are sleeping, so I'm going to try to get caught up on household chores...in a little while.

So Very Cute!

Here is a sweet card that Andi made for our Sell-A-Bration Swap. It's a picture of her new arrival. Isn't he adorable? I totally love this idea for birth announcements. She used the So Very set as well as a jumbo wheel to create the rattle background! So Cute!

Little Malia...

Hi Everyone! I finally got both kids sleeping, so I thought I would take a few minutes to post. This is a scrapbook page that I made for Malia's baby book. I used the At Home Simply Scrappin' Kit. Malia was only 3 weeks old when this picture was taken. I can't believe how much she has grown already! She is trying to sit up now, and rolls over (much to her frustration). She is usually a very happy baby, and she loves playing with her older brother. I must say those two keep me pretty busy!

Very Punny

Here are some more cards from my Sell-A-Bration Swap. These cards all use the Very Punny set. It's always inspiring to see everyone's neat ideas. Leanne made the great "sweet stuff" card, Ruth made the very cute "tickled pink" card, and Kerry made the fun "best fishes" gel card. They are all beautiful!

Sell-A-Bration Swap

Hi! I just got in from Basketball, and the forecast is for snow tomorrow. It's
been a great winter for playing outside! Here
is a card that I made for a
Swap I had with my stamping team. We all used Sell-A-Bration sets. (You can
choose one of these sets free when you order $75 or more in January or
February). I used the Delight in Life set with Cranberry
Crisp and True
Thyme ink and Cardstock. These are becoming my favorite colours, as I also used
this combination for my Christmas cards this year!

Grey Cup Sunday

Hello Everyone! Here is a photo of us with the Grey Cup! We were able to
have this special picture taken last Sunday, thanks to my Uncle Dave. (He is the
chaplain for the BC Lions.)
