All dressed up

Time gets away so quick these days.  Here are a few pictures from Easter/Easter Break.  We hunted for eggs and visited the Georgia Aquarium.  It was a fun break from school and a special time with family.

it's been a while....

A little throwback to November of last year...because let's be honest... I'm slack.  Seeing these pictures from just a few short months ago remind me how important pictures are... it's so easy to forget the little happy moments throughout the day when life gets so busy.

a taste of yellowstone

We saw so many sights and pretty places on our trip this month.  Here are a few pics from the hundreds I took.  I'm working on something special with the pics and videos  :)

Another Mother's Day in the books ;)

Mother's Day was at our house this year.  I'm so glad Grandma was able to come and be with everybody, too.  Every year we realize how blessed we are to have such wonderful Moms in our families. We are so thankful for all they do!

We went to visit Papa and Nena, too, of course, but somehow this was the only picture I got!

Winter Getaway

I'm a little late posting lately... but here are a few pictures from our Winter Getaway to.... Myrtle Beach!  It has been at least 15 years since Michael and I have been to Myrtle, so it was fun to say we were going back.  We went to an indoor water park and was able to get our toes in the sand before we left.  It was just enough time away to feel refreshed and ready to start the new year.

Then, the same week we had snow back home!

Sawyer's little note to Michael :)

Remembering two Special People

This past October would've been Grandma Nixon's100th Birthday.  To remember her, the girls in the family all painted one of her original paintings.  The apples were special because it was Aunt Catherine's favorite.  Her kitchen was decorated in apples for as long as I can remember.  Grandma's painting of the apples hung in the same place for years.  We talked about how both of them were so special.

The top left was Grandma's painting.  Andrea painted one for us and walked us through step by step.

We realized that Grandma didn't start painting until her hands started bothering her from sewing.  So, she didn't actually start painting until she was a lot older.

After we were all done, we had a new appreciation for Grandma and her talent :)

Thank you, Andrea for working this out for us! It was a lot of fun!

My Stella is 8!!

I cannot believe the time that flies so quickly.  Here are a few shots from my camera-  I know I have more on my phone that needs to be cleared out.  She loved planning, decorating and spending time doing crafts with her friends.
