my stella

Stella has a lot going on in her little life, to be almost 4 years old...I can't imagine how busy life will get when we are required to be places at certain times more than a few times a week.  But, for now we are enjoying these days at home.  Here she is reading with 'Bub".

Her countdown to her birthday list, that she has carefully marked off each date gone by.

painting her purple room...(we aren't done decorating yet, so I'll post pics when it's all finished)

I saw this on pinterest and it was perfect for what we are doing now...she did great, as always.

This is a similar game we did with the jack-o-lantern last month...this one was a little harder to do on the wall, so we just read and placed the words on the turkey.

In book heaven after I got all the Christmas books down... :)

She's really been into coloring lately...can you tell?  This is what she did in kids church one day.

I can't wait to celebrate her 4th b-day in just a few short days...I love seeing her grow and say silly things.  Last night she said, "you silly 'ole coconut"...I'll take it as a compliment :)
Love you, my Stella!!

heaven

Each night we try to read several stories from Stella's Bible. Lately, she's been wanting to read the last few stories...about how God changed Saul's name to Paul...and how Jesus is coming back soon. This has opened her little mind to lots of questions and comments about heaven. Here are a few:

"Where's Grandma Nixon?  Did you cry when she went to heaven? why?
Then, Stella was in your belly and came to stay here with you!"

"Will Jesus come in my room and get us?"
"I can put my fairy wings on and Jesus will like those."
"We don't have streets of gold here...."
"If Jesus lives in heaven, then he doesn't live in our heart?"
"Does he hear us when we pray?"
"He can hear everything"

I pray that Michael and I can speak and think like a child when we try to answer these questions...they are so true and pure.  I know there will be plenty more questions, but I never want to forget these first few...

I have had the post ready for several weeks, but ran into an issue with having too many pictures in my google account...(I guess that's what happens when you have 3 blogs!) So, I took a minute to delete some, so I could finally post more pics!! (sigh) Here's the last of Halloween fall fun...

We went to Patterson's Farm in Mt. Ulla again and had a lot of fun.  It was freezing cold, but the kids had fun with all the activities. Here's Stella and Sawyer getting their faces painted...well, Stella chose to have her hands painted instead.

Feeding the animals is always fun :)

Sawyer enjoying the tractor ride...and his pockets, or "popets" as he calls them.
